4 months?

My LO started having 5oz every 3 hours at about 8 weeks now he's four months he's still having 5oz every 3 hours but going 6 and then 5 hours at night with out a feed, he's a big boy too. Is this normal I just thought he might have gone up an ounce or so by now. Not so much worried because he's gaining well, theirs no sign of him wanting to take anymore either xx

Anna is still on what she was taking at 3 months and she is almost 5months!

She used to be on 5 bottles of 5 oz a day - total 25 oz...............now at almost 5 months she prefers to have 4 bottles of 6 oz a day - total 24 oz!!

I am sure your LO is taking more than that so you have nothing to worry about!

However she is putting on weight exactly the same, 1 oz a day, for the past few months

Thanks for replying. My LO is just such a big boy but he doesn't seem to have the appetite to match, it's weird lol. I try him with a 6oz bottle now and again but after 5 he just doesn't want to know xx

rhys is over 16lbs and has about 22 oz a day. mad considering he should be having near 40oz!! he does have one solid feed although i know this isnt a substitute to his milk!

Zander has been on 6 oz since about 3 or 4 weeks, and now at nearly 4 months he's still on the same. At night, sometimes he goes all night (8-9 hours) and others he'll do 6 or 7 and during the day he does 3-4 hours still. I think it's totally normal. I think if the feedings start getting closer than 3 hours try upping the amount, but by then it'll prolly by time to start fruits and veggies etc

Omar was 17 lbs at 4 mnths, he's a big baby. He used to take 24-28 oz at 4 mnths, & it went down to 21-24 oz with 1 solid meal at 5 mnths (he will go for 18 oz only some days) & now he only takes 18-21 oz with 2 or 3 solids. Some babies r not big eaters. As long as he's mentaining his weight gain u dont need to worry.

Evie went thru exactly the same thing at the same age! At 4 months old, she was still on 6 5oz bottles per day but then suddenly one day she started draining the bottles so we upped it to 5 6oz bottles. Now she's on 2, sometimes 3 meals a day she's on 4 7oz bottles a day which is just as well cos there just arent enough waking hours in the day to feed her

loooool. I knw how u feel. Omar sleeps around 15-16 hrs. With only 8 hrs awake, it's challenging to fit solids with bottles. So we'r happy with what he's able to manage.
