Thanks butterflydebs - I know, I can't believe how close I am either! I am so ready to have her now, COME ON BABY!!!!

Fuzzycaz - I didn't set out to actively lose weight during pregnancy. I felt awful for the first 20 weeks or so, and my appetite was far reduced - but I did try and make healthy & sensible choices where I could. My Consultant and midwives are very pleased that I've managed to lose weight, but did stress that I should just follow a healthy eating plan rather than an actual diet.

Good luck hun :)

Hello,

I am ten months into trying to conceive and in my TWW now (feeling hopeful FX).

I am overweight, UK 17 stone..... i wonder for all the ladies who feel pregnant whilst overweight how were your midwifes with you. i am dead worried i will be judged. I have lost 12 lbs already and still trying hard. I am otherwise healthy.

I am 30 and do not want to wait to conceive which is why we are trying but i still fear that judegement from a midwife...

how did others find it?

Dawn

My Dr is completely fine with my weight. In fact when I had my MC in April he said my weight has very little to nothing to do with my MC. I have lost 7lbs in the last 2wks though! Whichhe was very happy with for being almost 7wks pregnant. He said to let my body lose what it wants to.

Hun I was 20 stone 6lbs when I got pregnant and apart from telling me I would be under consultant care and would need a glucose tolerance test she didn't bat an eyelid!

I actually lost 3.5 stone during my pregnancy too!

At the end of the day you are a human being entitled to the same care and attention as any other pregnant woman and if you find that a midwife, or anyone else for that matter, is rude or nasty then refuse to see them again and request to see someone else next time.

Fingers crossed you get your bfp hun xxx

heya guys

seems really positive on here at the moment, love it! :)

i've lost my 10% now which my guno told be to before he gives me any help, 24lbs in 6 weeks i'm so happy with that. i've been going to slimming world and have found it really good so far *touch wood* i still have lots to loose but at least i've ticked that box now lol

giving up smoking next :/

fuzzycaz - in the slimming world groups you can still follow the plan whilst pregnant but not as strictly it's more encouraging healthy eatting than loosing weight but at least there you have the support. you need to take singed letters from your midwife after each midwife's appt. x

Thanks for that - unfortunately the nearest Slimming World group to me is over 1½ hrs drive away...I guess they haven't spread all over Ireland quite yet. So I'll have to stick with WW...which is working well for me, but won't entertain me if I get a :bfp:

Maybe I'll chat with my GP if I ever get that elusive :bfp: about staying with WW as long as I can. Obviously she is well aware of my weight issues, and she also used WW successfully to get rid of her baby weight both times.

Hey girls, dunno if anyone remembers me?

Still not preg and have just been diagnosed with PCOS, which explains alot.

I have now lost 56lbs in total (4 stone!!!).

My FS keeps telling me to lose more. :(

Feel like its never good enough.

Into a UK size 12 dress and size 14 jeans now though from a 22.

Hope you're all good.

Hey gals....so w had our 9 week scan....all was good...woot woot....176 heart rate :) now we are looking at our 12 week ultrasound in 1 week.....anyone that had been preg before.....question.....do u think they will be able to find the baby with all my " blubber" ? I"m nervous...the last one was not through the abdominal....this,one is.....how did it go for you guys?

Had my first scan today!! So far, so good! Bean is measuring right on target and it's heartbeat was 171bpm. My OB is very optimistic! I have no infections or anything, so as long as I keep keeping my blood sugar under control he doesnt forsee there being any complications. I have another appt for 2wks from now for another scan since that is the period of time where we had the loss last time. And then after that I will no longer see this OB. He is referring me to the high risk specialist at this point and he said I will get so many scans during this PG that I will be sick of them! Lol! Anyway, here's my little bean!

Hun I have so much flabby skin on my belly it's unbelievable - and I never had a problem with my scans! If the skin was in the way the sonographer just politely asked me to lift it up lol!

I had 5 scans in total and all of them were extremely clear xx

Hi all,

Our little girl, Tessa Liana Rose, was born on 16/10/11 at 14.32 weighing 7lbs 12oz. Born via forceps in theatre due to her being back to back and her head not descending. 24 hours of established labour, plus 2 days labouring at home - and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat, my little girl is just perfect :)

Oh Lara congratulations! I can't wait to see some pics - I bet she is beautiful!!!!!

Yay Lara!!!!!! Congrats! I can't wait to see pictures! Take care of yourself and get as much rest as possible!
