I took a test.

Yes, early. Yes, not with FMU.

I was so frustrated with my boobs and my head felt funny and my tummy felt gross and I feel kind of like I'm catching a cold and I just decided to take the test already.

So I did.

And I was sure it was going to be blank and I was going to be disappointed and not tell TM till tomorrow and go to bed sad.

And then I looked.

And then I ran out into the main room and made TM pause Guitar Hero and showed him the test and told him we're having a baby. We're having a baby! In September!!

Congrats Starlit!! Pregnant on your one year anniversary month as well how exciting.

Big betty- I'm glad that everything is going so well with the little girl. Only 11 more days til dd do you think that you'll make it to due date can't wait to see pics of the little girl

Littlespy- how exciting to be having a gender scan soon I don't have a feeling about whether you're having a boy or girl either I guess we'll just have to wait

asfm- 7dpo and waiting I might test on Mon or Tues if my temps r up otherwise onto next month

Thank you, thank you everyone - I'm still in a state of shock I think! Still grinning like a madwoman. I told my mom "I still have the test right here" and she laughed and told me she still has the test from when she found out she was pregnant with ME! :haha:

AFM - have been REALLY itchy the last couple of days, but not just my boobs now - it is all over my body from my head to my feet. Had some trouble sleeping - had the light on a few times to check I wasn't being bitten by anything. My skin just feels so sensitive and prickly. But I have no rash at all. Its weird. I wonder if I have eaten something that I've reacted to. It seems a bit better today, boobs still a bit prickly though.

I tested last night and got BFN. I think AF is due tomorrow, so I'm hoping its still too early but I'm not sure. Boobs still tender, but not as much as they have been - so reckon AF may be on the way. Checked my CP last night and it was really low so thought AF was coming, but then it seems quite high again today.

I don't know - stupid body, stupid symptoms - and stupid me for reading too much into everything, lol!!

Also, just watched a TV show called Pissed and Pregnant anbout women who drink throughout pregnancy. One woman thought it was perfectly acceptable to drink 3 Vodkas followed by half a bottle of wine! Stupid woman, I just know I will take such good care of me and baby yet it isn't happening :-(

Think I'm also a bit down because I've been on our local NHS website and found out that if I do have any problems TTC then I would need to lose 9 stone to be considered for treatment. That just seems so massive. I'm praying that this happens naturally for me.

Ah, so sorry to be a bit of a downer today - didn't mean to rain on your parade Starlit. I really am happy for you, and these BFPs bring me lots of hope :-)

And on a positive, the diet is going really well this week :-) 9 stone is a big incentive!!

I had another OB appointment yesterday. She couldn't find the heartbeat with her doppler (didn't expect she would since I had an empty bladder) so she did a super quick ultrasound & we got to see wiggly baby again. :cloud9:

Baby wasn't cooperating but she finally managed to get a full body shot & print the picture for us. I think I see the "nub" and now I've convinced myself we're having a little girl! :happydance:
I thought I wanted a boy but now that I'm pretty sure we're having a girl, I realize I really really don't care either way, I just want to know! The next 2 weeks until my sex determ. u/s are going to drag on forever.
 
Ah, that is great LittleSpy - how exciting for you, bet its so lovely to see baby on the screen - and she looks so cute in the picture :-)

Clever you being able to tell by the Ultrasound, I wouldn't have a clue what to look for! Did your Dr think it was a girl too? Can't believe you're 12 weeks already - time flies! You'll be meeting her before you know it :-)
 
Nah, doc didn't say. It's just based on the "nub theory" stuff which is far less than accurate anyway. :wacko:

I'm not so convinced that I'm going to go ahead and start buying dresses or paint the nursery purple or anything though. :haha: I'm waiting (im)patiently for our sex determ. u/s before starting all that. :winkwink:

On one hand I can't believe I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow. On the other hand, I feel like I've already been pregnant forever & that the baby should be fully cooked & here by now. :haha:
 
I can't wait to find out what you're having LittleSpy! I don't know what our plan is yet - we may be following the Team Yellow route :haha: We have names picked for both so far so we'll see!

Girls... I am so tired!!! I had a two-hour nap yesterday, then went to bed at 11:30pm, and slept straight through till 10:30am! :sleep:

Other than that I'm feeling fine though, morning sickness shouldn't kick in for 2 more weeks or so says my doula friend :thumbup:

Don't you believe it! I got my bfp when I was 4+4 (that was before my first scan put me back 5 days) and my morning sickness kicked in the very next day - didn't end until 23 weeks!!!

I hope you don't suffer like I did, although it's helped me to lose 42lbs in total hahaha
 
I 2nd BigBetty about the m/s.

Mine kicked in at 5+1 pretty much the second I hung up the phone from telling my dad I'm pregnant (as well as telling him "No, I feel fine -- not nauseous at all." :dohh:). :haha:

I haven't thrown up at all though. I came really really *really* close twice but I'm not a puker so I was able to fight it. But unlike Betty, my nausea helped me gain 10 pounds (I've since lost 3 :thumbup:) because the only thing that made me feel better was munching on something carby.

Luckily this last week I've been feeling a bit better (still occasionally nauseous though) so I've been able to eat healthier & walk some, resulting in weight loss (whew!).
