Is 5 months too early for LO's to be dropping a bottle? Phoebe seems to have done this in the last few days and i'm a bit worried she is not getting enough milk, she has gone from 5 bottles to 4 and has 5-6oz from each bottle.

She has been weaned since she was 4 months and seems to have lost all interest in milk recently and looks for solids all the time.

Hiya me again
Chloe always seem to be at the same stage as Phoebe so now I even look out for your posts just in case we can help eachother.

Chloe in the last week has dropped her 6am bottle, so now has only 4 bottles during the day and none over night - I am worried its not enough too but like Phoebe she will just drink what she wants, I tried giving her the 6am bottle yesterday and she hit it out of my hand like I was trying to feed her wee - that was really worth me waking up for!

She is fine and is also on solids, I give her a bottle before each solid though - i.e. 3 times a day is this the same for you?

luisa has been having 4 x 7oz bottles a day for over a month now :)

though we have recently started giving her a dreamfeed of about 4ozs too but i think she just needs more solid food during the day (she started weaning a month ago)

xx

Phoebe is really random with her bottles, we have never had a feeding schedule we have always fed on demand. This morning she woke at 3am and drank 6oz no problem, her next bottle was at 8am and again she had 6oz . After this she would not take her next one at 12 she kept opening her mouth as though I was going to feed her from a spoon! She had 2 oz and then noting until 4pm when she had another 2oz. We then fed her at 7pm and she had 5oz.

We do feed her, her bottles first but she knows solids are coming next and just plays with her milk, as soon as the spoon comes out she can just eat and eat! She has also started hitting the bottle as if to say 'no' and also she has started pinching me if I try to give her a bit more. She is getting a bit naughty with her milk and has completly lost interest. Every time she see's proper food she starts making these winging sounds, OH calls it her diva cry! She tries to grab the food and eat it, I turned my back for 2 seconds today and she had taken a cust from my plate and started eating it!!!

I should also say we dont feed Phoebe at 10pm and never have as she wont take the bottle, she gets mad when we wake her and will nearly always still wake for her bottle during the night.
