6 dpo, AF due 5th Sep.

Ahhh sad news for me today. Started spotting for my period last night and this morning about 7 to 8 DPO. i called to get my 7 DPO progesterone level test result, and it is at 6.4 (supposed to be above 10, and hopefully at 14). Even before I tried Clomid, my level was at 7.7 and my luteal phase was between 9 and 11 days. It looks like things got worse with Clomid. I wish I could figure out what the problem is. My nurse practitioner is supposed to call me this afternoon to talk about it. I'll post an update later with what I learn. =( Hopefully you ladies will have better luck! =) I'm pulling for you!

How you getting on Hun? Did the nurse shed any light on things for you?

The witch has got a couple of us too this month I'm afraid, thinking of having acupuncture but don't know a great deal about it. Google here I come!:flower:

sorry ladies ive been so slow. AF showed today and i have just been so sad these last days since i knew she was coming. have been a totalt wreck all day, hubby is trying to comfort me but its just not working. im taking a break from TTC cause its just to much for me :(

I Amiii, sorry to hear that, me too mine showed a couple of days ago. I am just trying to look on the bright side as I have now ovulated 2 months in a row which is progress! On day 3 of my clomid and none of the usual nasty side effects.

I hope you feel a bit better soon and can continue your TTC journey. Keep in touch won't you. :hugs:

Thanks for the support! I was just having a crappy day :( am jumping right back on the TTC train again. I just cant give up. I know when i O now so im not going to stress with opks so this month im just trying to go with the flow.

How is everybody? Did the witch get us all or is there still hope for some of us? Im so glad i started this thread and that i have such sweet ttc buddies! :flower: :hugs:!

Naah no luck here either! How is everything going? Was it the witch or maybe implantation? Sorry im so late with answering but been totally sad im out. Again! i hope u have some good news for us! :flower:

Amiii, so glad you have decided to keep TTC, we all have off days when it feels like you want to give in.

The hospital also told me not to bother with OPKs, just the BD every other day from the 9th to the 22nd, to have the best chance and to ensure u dont miss the OV. However that said, it is sometimes a bit of a struggle!

aww you're so sweet :hugs:

I missed you though. We spent the last two days at my parents in law and visited my OH sister's new baby boy. He's so adorable. I hold him what felt like for hours and couldn't put him down. I swear I felt head over heels in love with that little guy :dust:

Hi, I'm on cycle day 6 today, my last day of clomid. I am so pleased this time I have had hardly any side effects, it normally makes me really anxious/ upset.

So will soon be approaching the BDing stage, will give it all I've got! May need to get creative...........:winkwink:

Oh and I have booked in for a acupuncture consultation, I figured even if it's a load of rubbish and doesn't help my fertility it is supposed to be really relaxing so I figured why not. They have a practice local to me that do group sessions which makes it a lot cheaper on £15 a go. thought it might be strange in a group but you can request all women sessions so I'm sure it will be fine.

Hey ladies!

Here's my update:

I did end up getting a visit from the witch only seven to eight days after I ovulated, which means my first round of Clomid did not work well for me.

So my fertility specialist prescribed me a higher dosage of Clomid - 100mg - and I am taking my last dosage today. Then hopefully this will make me ovulate sooner than day 21 or 22!

I feel pretty good with the Clomid thus far. I think I've had a few hot flashes, but otherwise I'm not too sappy or crabby, and it actually has taken away my appetite!

Three days after I detect ovulation, I have to take progesterone lozanges (not sure if that is spelled right) until 14 days past ovulation. At that point I'm supposed to take a HPT and if it is negative then I need to stop the progesterone and my period will come.

I'm feeling positive about this month! I bought the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and was very surprised at how wonderful this book is. My cycles have been messed up ever since I took Celexa (an SSRI) for anxiety and my fertility specialist said that it had nothing to do with my irregular cycles/lots of spotting around my period. I quit taking Celexa back in January/February when we started TTC, but my cycles have not gone back to normal.

Interestingly, this book lists SSRIs as drugs that can delay ovulation and cause irregular cycles! I feel I blame Celexa for the difficulty conceiving. :(

Right now I think I am on CD8 because even though I started spotting on Aug. 29, my fertility specialist said to count the first day of red bleeding as day one. When my cycles were normal, the heaviest day of bleeding was day two, so I decided to count my heaviest day of bleeding this cycle as day 2. Hence, CD8 today. =)

How's everyone else??

KatCrazy--what did you learn from Google about acupuncture for fertility? I am usually really into different forms of natural medicine like that but haven't looked into it. I'm excited to hear about your consultation!!!

Amiii--so happy you are back to TTC! It can be very frustrating and we all have our bad days, that's for sure. No one warned me that this could actually be difficult! I always thought babies were easy to make. Hang in there, and in the mean time we all can be each others' support system. Yay! I'm also very happy to have some TTC buddies!!!! <3
