A birthday gift for Dad

So I was talking to my dad the other day, and mentioned that I recently came off my antidepressants. He immediately asked "are you guys trying for a baby?" He then went on to say that he had been thinking about how he's 60 and his birthday is coming up on 4/17 and how it would be a really nice gift to find out that we're expecting. That is so not my dad. I thought it was so cute! He's generally not pushy about anything, but he really wants a grandchild!

Unfortunately, I'm not off my BCPs until April 21st, so it will be a late birthday gift. Hopefully not too late!

That's such a nice thought!! I'm sure he will appreciate it just as much whenever you tell him... As DH and I are waiting till Dec'09 we hope to give a nice New Years "resolution"...
