A bit O/T: Financial/splitting bills in a partnership

We have joint accounts and separate accounts, but TBH we never use the separate ones. My pay gets put into the joint account and I pay all the bills because he's rubbish with money. He has one of my credit cards in his name to buy groceries, etc. Whenever he wants money he just asks for it because he forgot his pin number and is too lazy to reset it. If he earns any money, then it would also go into the joint account, but right now he's a kept man.

We do this. I take out personal costs - loans, phones personal debts from our wages. Then I take away 50% of the remainder from each account. If one has more than the other - usually OH has like £200 more than me. It gets split as I buy stuff for Emma from my account.

I control the finances. But it doesn't always work!!
