For context, I have regular 29-day cycles. My period is almost 2 weeks late and i wanted to share my journey with everyone on here. I've gotten blood work + ultrasound done, peed on too many sticks and just went to see the fertility doctor yesterday. I've been TTC for 3 cycles:
First cycle: Miscarriage,
Second cycle: chemical
Third cycle: present day - no period, inconclusive test results.
8 Aug: faint positive
9 Aug: AM faint positive, PM BFN, did blood tests which came back negative
11 Aug: faint positive
12 Aug: AM: BFN, PM: faint positive
13 Aug: PM - faint positive
14 Aug: bfn
15 Aug: did ultrasound: results came back normal
16 Aug: faint positive
17 Aug: bfn
18 Aug: bfn, went to fertlility doctor who suggested that:
1. I was getting false positives
2. I was testing too early (almost 2 weeks late though?!?!?)
3. My cycles have become irregular since the first miscarriage (hcg went down from 15 to <5 within a day of the miscarriage - got bloods 24 hours apart to confirm, the following cycle also returned to normal)
4. Other organs in my body are secreting hcg
Will be posting daily/ weekly updates on this mystery month all the way until I either get a confirmed positive or my period... In the mean time, thoughts? Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?
