A home for EVERYONE!

I could maybe pull that off. Have to buy stuff at lunch and then make it at home in time... will have about 1.5 hours at home to make/feed dinner so might be doable!

Nicole - Oh man you got to see a heartbeat?? Blah... makes me more nervous that I didn't... but less than 2 weeks until my next appt so maybe things will be farther along by then.

Krissy - Ok I will go buy a potty chair and start introducing it to her. I was figuring sometime after age 2 she should start showing signs of interest. Isn't talking a lot yet, so will be easier once she can talk! And yay on the job news!! Ha, glad your DH had the patience to wait, yeah!!!

Misty - Ha yup that's me too with getting full fast! And Texas Roadhouse... keep meaning to go there... we finally have one in town... got a gift card at my wedding in 2010 but we didn't have the restaurant until this year!

Dont be worried. Like I said, we almost didnt catch it. Wouldnt have seen it if the doctor didnt look at the screen one last time before she took the internal wand out.

Oh and I think it was Misty who asked if I might be further along than I thought! I hope so. I still want a June due date but I would love to be 4-7 days ahead of my ticker. cant wait to make it to where Janelle and Misty are.

So I'm supposed to get a prenatal gummy with this next paycheck. I just have to see if it has iron in it and if not then I will need to get an iron supplement.

Nicole i am pretty sure that as long as it is a prenatal vitamin you should be good on the iron. those iron supplements can be brutal to take, my mom has low iron all the time and is suppose to take an iron supplement but they always make her throw up no matter when she take them. so she is actaully taking a prenatal vitamin for her iron...she likes how her nails look better now lol

Yeah, I hope the prenatals I took last time has the right amount of everything. I am contemplating buying a playard with all the accessories or a moses basket and stand in case I have to have another C-section.

Ok maybe you are farther along than me. Dr told me all he saw was a sac. No baby yet. Hope hope hoping to see more next time!! Oct 25 is my next appt, so I'll feel better then. And I don't use a crib first thing.. I used a moses basket in a stand... and a pack n play. This time thinking pack n play or a co sleeper.. waiting to see how my friend likes her co sleeper first.

Im not buying one single baby thing for at least a couple more months. Scared to jinx anything. I know... Im ridiculous...

All I've bought so far is a newborn insert for my ergo baby carrier because I found it reduced at an outlet store. Found the site to buy replacement parts for our swing since we lost some parts of it in the tornado. Swing itself is fine, but lost toys on it. Looks like I can buy all the parts we need. Oh but just read a review where someone said they took out their swing for baby #2 and it had stopped working. Glad I read that! Need to test out the swing before I start buying new crap for it!

Nursery for baby #2 is currently Siena's play room with a guest bed. Sigh. So need to figure out what to do with all that stuff before we get too much new baby things. Guess I will need to cram the play kitchen in Siena's room.. but then the new baby will use it later too... that's why I liked the idea of a play room! All the stuff in one place! But, alas, only 3 bedrooms... I told myself later they won't need a play room and wanted a house that would work long term without spending more than we needed on extra space to keep clean! I guess this will mean cluttering up our bonus room! Siena will be safer on stairs eventually... what age can I trust her to go upstairs on her own with me downstairs??

Misty you are not ridicolous bc i bought stuff when i was pregnant the begining of this year (baby would have been born on 10/29) i was about 10 weeks along and i bought a few things off craigslist, was a great deal, well now i have to look at those thing everytime i go to get something out of storage....it sucks, but at the same time i never had an early ultrasound....it is what ever makes you most comfortable! oh and since you have been out of the loop for so long on baby stuff i would be happy to give you my two cents lol

Nicole, i had one of those cosleepers where it had the hard sides and it went in the bed with us...it was ok but i liked my pack and play with the bassinet attachments better. is there a theme you want to go with?

lizzy i never used the moses baskets...are those nice?

Lizzy that is a hard one. i know my cousin lets her almost 2 yr old go up and down the stairs on her own. i never had to deal with that one that god...

with the whole room thing this is what i did in our 3 bedroom. for a long time the baby was in my room in the pack n play. but with my older two they shared a room, they wanted it that way. so in the end all the beds and clothes were in one room and the other room was a play room. worked out great for us! just a suggestion if you didnt want to have to rearrange rooms!

Moses basket was nice... because in the beginning while I was on mat leave and hubby was working, I'd keep Siena in the living room and he'd go to bed... and then around midnight when she'd finally fall asleep, I'd carry the basket to the bedroom. Although I often slept on the couch also. I liked how I could move her though even if she was asleep. Because she'd cry some before falling asleep which wasn't ok in the bedroom with sleepin hubby!

Ok yeah I was hoping to have the kids share a room once the baby left my room! But no one seems to think thats normal if we have 2 rooms for them. So they liked it? Do they have their own rooms now? Wondering how long I'd want a play room and how long they'd like to be together, esp if different genders. I figured I got Siena to sleep by herself by 6 months... but then she did wake up crying most nights for a pacifier when she dropped it. So even if in separate rooms, might wake Siena since room is across the hall.

I want to stay as neutral as possible. I'll be in IL so we only have one room for the kids even though the new baby will be with me in the adult room until they are 4 months old. One thing I like about Army housing is that if this baby is a boy (please let it be so) the Army when we move to another station will automatically give us a 3 bedroom condo (which are pretty nice) since they dont like different gender kids being in the same room. On the other hand, the condos are basically like an apartment. You cant paint walls and you have to be careful of holes in the walls and keeping the carpet clean.

I looked on amazon.com and moses baskets look nice but spending $160+ is the thing I'm unsure about. We already have a pack n play but it doesnt have the raised part and if I have a C-section, I wont be able to reach down to get the baby without putting pressure on my incision. I think I'm going to turn my daughter's crib into a toddler bed as soon as I get back to IL. She will be 20 months, which is a few months older than our son was when he got a toddler bed. I will just have to make sure she cant open the door since she is now tall enough to reach doorknobs.

I already have a huge box of stuff for the new baby. I'm not buying anything til March or April.

Morning ladies.

I'm so tired!!!! I woke up this morning singing, "It's raining, it's pouring the old man is snoring, he bumped his head..." RAAAAAAALPH. My first morning of puking!! I no feel so good.

Misty, I'm calling you Smart ass hipster milf. That's your name. I was thinking old lady hipster, but eh.. sounded kinda mean, and I'm not mean. So Smart ass hipster milf it is!!
I haven't bought a damn thing as far as baby wise. I'm kinda bumbed too though, because I have NOTHING from when Samuel was little. We either gave it away or sold it at our garage sale when we were moving. I have all of his cloth diapers and covers, his crib set, and all the breast pump stuff. Nothing else.

Libby, I refuse to give up Samuel's play room. Only because I don't want a messy house with toys that I will trip over or leggos to step on. So the baby and him will share a room. I thought this out a year or so ago. I bought a neutral crib set, then when we got samuel a bed, we bought a bed set that matches it. So, their sets will match if they share a room. That's how this Mama pinches pennies! We've already decided that they are going to share a room for quite awhile then when we get that while creative hair up our but, we're going to make the attic above their room into a loft. The attic isn't finished, but it's really spacious and would make a perfect loft for little people and all their toys. I had a friend who had one when I was little. She had a ladder that went up there, when ever she got in trouble her parents would take the ladder away. I like that idea. Also don't worry about the heartbeat. You were still pretty early when you got your scan.

Nicole, Hey fertile mertile buddy! How are you feeling this morning?

Krissy, hope your day is going better than yesterday. You better be on here more today as well! YOU DEVOTE YOUR TIME TO ME!!! Just kidding...not . :hugs:

AFM- I'M A RASPBERRY!!!! I had a few raspberries yesterday for lunch and was looking at them wondering when I would get there. Sooner than I thought I guess. So excited!!

Krissy, I will DEFINITELY need your 2 cents on baby stuff! Sooooo out of the loop!

Good morning miss Janelle- now do you want a nick name to? sorry you feel like crap!
When Jamie was old enough to go to a room i tried putting avarie in her own room and the boys sharing a room...that was not happening because they like to sleep in the same room togther. then when jamie got old enough we put all 3 together. they still like it that way! Good thinking ahea momma!

Nicole i love craigslist for stuf! also my cousin who lives in Kansas at Ft riley got a 4 bd house with garage it is beautiful and huge!

Lizzy- my kids sleep like rocks! it takes a lot for them to get woke up. so honestly i would not worry about it! if you want to put them in the same room do it! i have no problem having my two boys and a girl share a room for now. you are the mom you know your kids best :D

Tension headache and horrible tummy feeling even though I already ate something. Sorry you no feel good.

Well we sent our end of lease email yesterday so now the pressure is on! Landlord does want to be able to let the people walk through the house in November though which means a lot more cleaning and packing over the next two weeks.

Oh, DH might let us tell family over Thanksgiving as long as his family finds out first and it's not over the phone. So I am kinda excited but now I have a lot to do/ think about.

why does his family have to find out first? With the last pregnancies we only told some of my family his family dont even know i mc a second time.

Well this lazy momma gotta get up and do my cleaning see ya'll later!
