Name: Aoife (pronounce EE-fah)
Age: 26
Location: Southern Ontario, Canada
Occupation: Master's degree student (Earth and Environmental Sciences), Part time research assistant
Short Personal Description: I am 26 years old and married. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland and moved to Canada in childhood, went back to the UK after secondary school for 2.5 years and worked on a sheep farm. Also travelled around Europe during my gap year. After this I went back to Canada to attend university where I received an honours degree in biology and am now working on my master's degree in earth sciences. I do some part time work for a professor as a research assistant and also do some exam proctoring. I am married to my lovely DH who is 32 and works at a bank as a wealth advisor (he also does some grand consulting for not for profits on the side) This will be my first cycle trying for baby (which will be both my and DH's first) and I am super excited and a tad impatient.
Hobbies: I play classical violin, love horseback riding but have been unable to do so due to lack of stables near by and lack of time
and I LOVE reading and listening to podcasts. Most of my hobbies revolve around dorky academic things, I love physics and military history. For exercise I do yoga but have kind of been slacking on that!
Colour: Purple
Food: Any kind of Indian food!
Hang-out: DH and I go to bonfires with friends almost weekly, spending time with my 11 yo sister and watching antiques roadshow.... wow i'm lame.
Books: currently reading "Mere Christianity" C.S. Lewis and "Atlas Shrugged" Ayn Rand. I also love non-fiction, but I do so much reading for school that there is not a lot of time left for recreational reading
Movies: Anything sci-fi or dystopian
TV Shows: Dexter, Game of Thrones, The Thick of it

I had previously been pregnant but unfortunately it wasnt exactly successful :/ i miscarried on 12/11/12 (at 12 weeks pregnant) but i told myself that things happen for a reason... and it did. I became pregnant again and found out i was pregnant on May 11, 2013! Today i am 33 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my baby girl Caitlin Marie Barnes. I am thankful for her and she will always come first... no matter what! I want to give her everything i never had. Anyway, on this website im looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends!
