I planned to BF from the beginning, but that didn't work out (long story, so disappointed but... :() so now LO is FF as of two weeks. He has lots of troubles with gas as he has a mild tongue tie and just an extra sensitive tummy, according to his doctor. Right now we are using the Playtex with disposable liners (not drop ins, the flat ones) and they work really well when you squish the air out. The problem is that we are using Goodstart formula which he tolerates well but cannot be pre-made. You have to boil water, fill bottles with water, put in fridge, then take out and add the powder when you are about to feed, then heat. It doesn't take too long to do this, but the issue is with heating. LO is an impatient little guy and just screams the whole 5 minutes it takes me to drag myself out of bed in the night and make it.

The liners aren't really supposed to go in a bottle warmer but we have been putting it in for about a minute and a half and it works, but melts the bottom of the plastic bottle (not the liner). And the warmer has a timer which would make things faster/easier, but there is no setting for disposable liners of course. I'm worried I'll forget and leave one in and it will explode too...

Anyway... he is heading toward 4oz a feed I think so I'm trying to plan what type of 6-8oz bottles I will buy and how I will heat them! I really love the bottles we are using but they are so inconvenient to heat because we are going from fridge temp.

Is there a better way to heat them? Or just a better bottle to use? I know Dr. Brown's are supposed to be great but I've heard the Playtex are just as good and less prone to leaks and easier to clean.. so I'm not sure...

I use Dr Browns and haven't had any problems with leaking! My LO was using tommee tipee but he dribbled everywhere when drinking and ww don't get that with Dr B's.

I like them, and they do seem to have helped his tummy issues along with the comfort formula!

Dr brown bottles are okay but they are a faf to clean and we had a lot of leaking issues.

With daughter 2 (now 15 weeks) we have used mam anti colic from the beginning and we love them just as good as dr brown but easier to clean and you can shake them, and less leaks.
