advice for constant headaches?

I'm suffering daily now with a constant headache from about 10 minutes after I get up until I go back to bed.
I've been trying to drink plenty & eat well but they will just not go. I'm a bit apprehensive to take paracetamol all the time. It is making me miserable!

Does anyone have any advice which will help please? Or do I just have to suck it up.

Ice pack on back of neck while placing feet in warm water. I read this somewhere, haven't actually tried it though.
