When i have my LO i have 2 lurchers which are good to walk which i will be taking the hounds walkies so i will be needing a carrier. Me and OH will be doing lots of walking together too but she will be born in winter and if i wait for OH we will not see natural daylight

also i need to feel the baby will be secure as i will have to bend to unclip leads, grab the hounds and pick up poop

I really like the of the babyhawk and the close sling.

What are people opinions?

I have the bayhawk mei tai and love it!!Would def recomened it,and OH likes it too so thats always a good thing!x

I have a babyhawk as well and I would say it's a good one, or look at a woven wrap. The woven wrap is harder to get the hang of at first but would be more flexable with different holds in the long run.

I have a ring sling which I love for short carries but it hurts my back over any distance.

I loved the Moby wrap until Elliot was about 5 months, it's really supportive and sort of cuddly for newborns and younger babies. I had a Close too for quick carries but it wasn't quite as supportive as the Moby.

I've got a Mei Tai now he's a bit heavier and I'll probably use one sooner if I have another baby but I'll still be using my Moby as my preferred carrier because it just seems the nicest sling for a little baby to fall asleep in x

hi kitty kitty, what cross are your lurchers (just being nosy! I have a deerhound/greyhound cross and he is our first born!!!!!) I'm in the same situation as you but haven't had LO, yet!

I did buy the calin bleu wrap the other day though because like everyone else, the closeness really appeals to me. I got it in a microfleece material too for the winter.

I've tried it on with a teddy! but can't really say much!

I've been looking at the bushbaby cocoon too, esp for OH. It looks nice and cosy https://www.gtexpectations.co.uk/images/ge/products/baby_carrying/cocoon_lg.jpg

I personally like the Moby Wrap for infants, or some other kind of wrap will do aswell.

i love my close baby carrier!! i can wear it all day without hurting my back, it is very supportive for him and it feels secure enough not to have to constantly hold him!!
