After the BFP...TTC #1 "Graduates"

Hi! I am creating this thread because I have cultivated friendships with a group of ladies in the TTC #1 forums in a monthly thread over the last year and a half. Several of us (including me!) have recently been blessed with BFP's.

I love to keep up with our friends in the TTC #1 monthly thread, but don't always want to post because I know how difficult the journey is and don't want to be insensitive to anyone who doesn't want to read about pregnancy at the time...I know some of you ladies feel the same way. Here's a place we can continue our chats!

Cheers to happy and healthy pregnancies for all of us, BFPs for all those trying, and lasting friendships!!

Yay Suzy!!

I'm still too chicken to change my status and signature, but I am 4 weeks 5 days. Just got my second blood results back, and my HCG went from 333 to 803, so they don't feel like I need to come in for any more tests.

Got my first scan scheduled for August 27th, and it can't come soon enough!!! DH is convinced we have multiples because of the 3 Clomid induced eggs and his 67 million sperm, but we're both hoping for just one. And I can't wait to prove him wrong! LOL

Thanks Sarah for starting this thread and congrats on the great results today!! It took me a few days to change my status, do it only when you are ready.

Suzy, a big congrats to you as well!

Allison, I am glad you joined us over here...I have been wondering how you were doing!

I just had an appointment yesterday, I am in my 13th week. Since it is twins my OB decided to do another ultrasound rather than using the doppler, she said it is just easier with multiples. That was fine by me to see the twins again, it was a quick 2 minute ultrasound basically just taking a quick look and they were wiggling and waving...so cool to see movement! We also started to tell some friends and family but we are going to wait a few weeks to make it public on facebook.

Looking forward to hearing updates from everyone here and seeing who joins us from the ttc thread this month!

Congratulations, everyone! So excited for all of us, and this thread is totally brilliant.

I am 5w3d and have my first appointment on Aug. 27, just like Sarah! It will be a GREAT day!

Unless you're high risk, my doctor doesn't do any blood work or tests before 8 weeks, so I am looking forward to the first official word on how our baby is doing!

I'm doing good, Savvy! I'm almost 26 weeks now so time is really flying by! I can't believe you're already 13 weeks! How big is your bump now since you got 2 of them in there?! I can't wait to hear what the sexes are, are you going to find out?

And congrats, Amy! I don't think we ever "met" but I stalked the other thread so I definitely saw your story and announcement. Man, that sounds kinda creepy, huh? Hahaha!

Hahaha! Creepy is GOOD! So glad to have so many women to talk to who are experiencing the same things.

We're torn between boy names... We originally were going to go with Killian, but too many people told me his nickname would end up being "Kill" and my mom hated it. I really like the name Owen, but I'm having a hell of a time convincing the husband. Out of the 3 following names, which do y'all like the best??

Awww, congratulations! I love all of the names, you certainly can't go wrong, but I think I like Owen the best, too.

It's so good to have all the "old" faces back here Savvy and Allison Now we can keep each other company through this journey!
I didn't change my status straight away. I waited a couple of days and the first thing I changed was the status. Then I waited a few more days before I started using tickers. I like them especially to see what's going on inside and how far along the baby is.
My scan is 1 week from today! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully everything will be OK!

I'm sure everything will go just fine at the ultrasound, Suzy! I think we're all nervous that first time around. Or, well just all the time. Lol. I get nervous before every appt. Just try not to worry and enjoy the moment. Hopefully you'll get to hear the little heartbeat. : )

Allison, wow 26 weeks already? How exciting! How is your bump? I have no bump yet...I was very worried at my appointment on Tuesday but the OB assured me that it was okay (I am down about 5 lbs still) as long as I am eating healthy and staying hydrated. First time in my life that I actually want to gain weight and have a cute bump!

We are totally finding out the genders, I can't wait. My appointment is scheduled for September 16th and I will be 19 weeks. I was suppose to have an appointment at 16 weeks but since I have multiples my OB wants me to see the specialist u/s tech.

I love the names Owen and Mason! I actually thought if I had b/g twins that I like the names Olivia and Owen but a few of our friends have children with both names.

Suzy, it is so exciting to have some of our "old" friends here from ttc! We have been on this journey together long enough that I can't wait to hear all about ultrasounds and appointments!

I have a bump, but I wish it were bigger. Lol. I asked my dr at my last appt if it should be bigger by now but she said everything measured correctly so she wasn't worried. I'm just tired of being in that "is she fat or pregnant" category! Hahaha! I'd post a pic, but I can't for the life of me remember how to post pics on here. : / I can't wait to know what those twins are!!! I'd really want boy/girl twins if I were having twins. Do you have a preference??

And I think I convinced the husband to go with Owen!! So as of now I think first and middle will be Owen Carter. : )

Allison, I am worried also about the "fat or pregnant" stage. I keep thinking with the twins that I will wake up one day and be huge! To post pictures you need to click "go advanced" under the reply box then I think it is "manage attachments" and you can upload pictures there. I usually have to re-size my pictures first, I do that in paint on my laptop. I don't know how to upload pics from a smartphone though.

While I would like to dress my twins in matching outfits...my preference is boy/girl twins. Then my hubby and I would have one of each and both be happy. He wanted a boy and I wanted a girl. He thinks we are having two girls, said that would be his luck!

I love Owen Carter! Glad it sounds like you convinced your hubby to go with Owen.

I've seen a lot of twin outfits on zulily! A lot of them seem like the could be gender neutral, you should check them out.
