All these riots everywhere!!!

its getting closer to my parents and grand parents, I am worried for their safety. both live just outside towns. I think we are pretty safe here as we are in a small village but then saying that a car was turned on its side last night as an attempt to show the police who is boss.
 
Terrorists would be laughing at us right now.
I see tonight going one of 2 ways: 1) comeplete distruction 2)nothing happening at all.
I'm hoping it's the second!
 
I've already said, you don't need to be in the thick of it for it to affect you or to care. That's like saying you can't have compassion for someone with cancer unlwss you've had it. Ridiculous.
 
I hope it doesn't spread & I hope it just fizzles out now, they've got what they wanted.

I can be certain if they riots spread to Scotland, the rest of the UK would be in ruins because it has to travel upwards, i've already spoke to people who are suprised it hasn't happened in Glasgow, IMO when i'm up at 5.45am in the morning worrying about my family & myself, I am not thinking of somebody in Somalia, I am hoping people of my country are safe.

Believe me thats how your coming across! Somalia has nothing to do with this thread, but you felt the need to mention it when everyone is suffering in some way from this, we are all upset, angry and annoyed its happened in our country. Sorry that we feel this way!!
 
Come on ladies, we don't want this thread to go sour. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion at the end of the day. So lets not start getting ateachother, everyone is really peeeed off about whats going on even if they live in one of the targeted cities or not doesn't matter, noone wants to see this. But lets not start chipping away ateachother and lets not go on at Blah either. The people we want to be venting anger towards is these so called protestors, not someone for having a slightly diff opinion on here. Only been asleep for an hour and miss so much, just catching up on news now and the total of arrests are 525
 
But your not showing compassion by saying things like ''Its just a riot'' - Fine, yes it is 'just' a riot, but its the effect of it thats devastating.
Being left with nothing is devastating, losing every worldly possession you ever worked bloody hard for is heart-wrenching.

I do agree that lives are more important than possessions, but seriously, they do come a close second!
 
As i'm typing, my local asda is getting looted, great.

I sadly think complete destruction because of how the police are preaparing for tonight and the fact they have said there is no cell space so they think they will get away with it and also with the extra policing this will vent the anger of these so called protestors aswel, almost winde them up, Boris johnson speech was pointless
 
:haha: I'm speaking with my dad who is a retired police officer in California and the first thing he said was "fire hoses and non-lethal would take care of that".

I truely hope the riots don't spread up here, I doubt they will though.
I realy feel for all the people that have been caught up in all this, people loseing there lives and livelyhoods. It's increadibly sad :( I hope every one stays safe and the police get control of it soon. Xxx
