All these riots everywhere!!!

Yeah the Queen does have those powers. A lot of then are really just formality but she does have the right to dissolve parliament. I wish she'd exercise it!
We might not be going to town now. Indigo and I are so poorly and she is inconsolable so I'm seeing if I can postpone my meeting.

Hope you both feel better soon.

I quite like the Royal family, when people they mean F all it usually means they do not really understand it all.

Nothing even near me last night, surprised Southampton didnt jump on the band wagon! Feel safe here in the forest though. Heard about people getting injured fighting back. Ridiculous :(

Just seen this on BBC:

0909: A 16-year-old looter from Manchester tells BBC 5 live he will continue participating in the violence and theft until he gets caught, because it is his first offence and nothing will happen.

:nope:

i'm getting really annoyed seeing these news reports that the deaths of the young men and the riots can't be linked and birmingham calmed down last night, did it heck! There were fires in the city centre which there wasn't monday night and my friend got attacked and robbed by somebody with a hammer in the city centre. Shops continued to be smashed and looted and areas surrounding birmingham were badly affected and shots were fired. Yet according the the news thats calm? And these deaths, the men died trying to defend their property from these scumbags and all they can say is they can't be linked and are treatig it as a hit and run when the rioters deliberately mounted the pavemet to hit these guys. Why are they so keen to brush whats happening in birmingham under the carpet?

I sincerely hope he is proven wrong. What a disgusting attitude. :nope:

3 young men die in Birmingham last night as a result of rioters running over them

Thats one reason why I feel so angry when I see people taking pictures of the damage and stuff on their phones. Just go home or get out of the area :( your life is at risk doing that. Not that they should need to but ya know. Esp in Birmingham where gun crime is quite prevalent!

Apparently they were trying to protect there families business, so i guess they felt they needed to be there at that time!

Just seems like Londons halted and now everywhere else is starting...never imagined Brum to be so bad, i more expected Bradford/Oldham/Manc to be the main areas of trouble outside of London :(

:nope: I'm sure their parents would have rather seen their business go than their children, neices and nephews. Very sad. I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.

I'm sure they would have, I'm sure the victims would have rathered that too, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. People who own businesses like that often have many lives relying on the income they receive from it and therefore feel they have to protect it.

Like I said..

eh, hopefully that 16 yr olds statement will come back and bite him on the bum. They need to be charged properly this time.

Totally agree!

Hopefully someone will identify the silly little shit, he said that to the BBC FFS

Hope everyone here is safe after last nights riots/lootings. Its truely mad! Nothing happened here dispite the text meets going around, police and riot vans where waiting in the centre though just incase.

If anything, this whole incident has highlighted how absolutely thick some people are. Who the hell loots a shop IE theft and then posts twitter pictures saying 'hey, i just stole this' and who steals tesco value basmati rice and raids a bloody poundland then gets pictured coming out with hands full of goods. MORONS.
I feel bad for teenagers and people my age (early 20s) cos its such a small minority of people and the 'youth of today' is getting the blame which obviously is not fair at all.

I agree with Blah - my family have own business and one of them partically was targetted with a lot of voilence at one point (it was just a TV reparir business ). Anyway, I know how heart breaking and truley deverstating it is to lose things or have to repair or replace things that you work your ass off for.

Saying that, your live is always more important, and although I beleive we should have a right to defend our property, I also feel given the level of violance that people who arnt involved should stay away.

It crazy all those people in the street, who is causing problems and who isnt? Surely if someone is out and silly o clock when there is such terrible problems going on they are not up to any good. I am not talking about those people who got killed, but rather but pictures from the streets which are packed with people.

I know we should be able to go out for a nice meal or to a club or whatever, but "I" certainly wouldnt want to go out when there have been days of rioting.

Thankfully nothing happened here last night either, police kept everyone updated and facebook but everything was fine.

Keeping those affected in my thougts :hugs:

I think there should be a curfew, at least then the police would know exactly who is causing trouble, and hopefully people who've just gone out for a neb will stay in the house. And then also the police would be able to deal with anyone who is out ?

xxx

I laughed when I see the picture they took of the Tesco Value basmati rice. Idiots.

I am listening to LBC as I always do and I cannot believe how many people try and justify it!!!! Crazy!
