All these riots everywhere!!!

It's just things though. Things can be replaced. Yes its devastating for those involved but reading this thread, a lot of you have a mob mentality, or it sounds like it.

I do understand what you mean, things are just things. However, some things are just not replaceable to some. It's all they have.

BIB - Could you please expand on what you mean by this?

'Shoot the ****s' and other comments along those lines.

Ah I see, well, I doubt that'd work to be honest, it'd only add fuel to the fire and start a whole different scale of violence.

Yes just because I'm not directly involved means I don't care clearly.

It's my country too.

Your previous responses just seem very nonchalant about it all, thats all...

Im not picking a fight, just saying!

For some people those 'things' are ones that theyve worked hard all there life to build up, there could be memories in those homes that will be soarly missed...yet thugs without a thought to the innocents just go ahead and destroy it all!

I wouldnt say we were behaving like a mob here, we're just angry!

Meh, I just look at pictures from Somalia of starving children and mums who have lost 3 or 4 children on the walk for help and compare it to a fire where no one was hurt...

Please no arguing! This is a great thread, we dont want it gettingshut down! :hugs: People have different views and perspectives, experiences, etc... We're not all going to agreex

Course but this is what happens. Someone had already mentioned groups being set up to tiot against rioters!

If you compared everything to that, nothing would seem important, would it? I bet when you get upset over things that seem important to you, you don't compare it to this? Many of these people have lost everything they have worked for, one man has died, people have been left unemployed with no way of paying bills. It's atrocious, important in a different way. If you were affected, I guarantee you wouldn't be so chilled out

Groups being set up are silly silly individuals, they are the people with mob mentality, not us. x

I think I've missed whatever the news was about riots against rioters, that's crazy! Fire against fire only makes more flames :nope:

Sorry at what point did I say it wasn't important?

But due to the riots someone has lost a life :nope: and for you just to write that off is just sad!! :nope:

Obviously o don't mean us lot, but people getting really angry and worked up is how riots and mobs start.

Sigh.

I'm getting amelie now, will respond later if I have time.

I've been watching the news all day, it's discusting :( I live about an hour outside London, and last night down the road in Medway there was cars and bins set on fire, and a bank done in. Obv not on the same scale as the things going on in London, but it just scares me what could go on tonight. I read as well that all the shops in my local town have been told to clear their shops of expensive stock :nope: not sure how true that is, but I'm literally 10 mins away from the town centre. It's shocking what this world is coming to

You implied it maybe wasn't as important as Somalia. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think these two things are comparable, the famine is a natural disaster because of drought, this situation is pure thuggery, inconsideration and people putting other people's lives in danger, and bringing their lives crashing to the ground with a few nights of fire and theft. Totally different, important in their own ways.

I think you're being quite hostile and not really helping anything, none of us are going around actually wanting to shoot these people or creating groups to fight back, so I don't see what the point is in jumping in and telling us that we've got a mob mentality  What's the gain or the help?

I've been hearing about the riots. :nope: I hope everyone's okay! Stay safe ladies. :hugs:

I just found out about this last night. Just popping on to say I hope everyone is staying safe. Xx

Well it wouldnt affect you Blah because its not happening where you are. Maybe if it was (and I do hope it doesnt get that far) you might change the things you say.
Someone lost their life and thats important, I am not even going to air my views on Somalia cos right now MY country is suffering and I am going to talk about it.

I can assure you Somalia doesnt even cross my mind when I am sitting here wondering what I would do if they set my house alight, sitting up in bed wondering how I would get my girls out if it did happen. Its only 1.5 miles down the road from me

Well I suppose I was. Id Obv rather lose my home than my child. I can have an opinion and I can voice it whether you think its helpful or not. I'm not hostile FYI.
