I have a lot of family in Croydon and surrounding areas. Croydon have closed down its major shopping centre and the smaller shops just out of Croydon have also shut.

Although its only speculation from facebook a lot of people in these areas 'think' there are gangs on there way up to create more trouble.

I dont know how much of this is rumours.

Apparently a riot is planned in Derby city centre and Normanton tonight. I lived in both of these places in the last year. Glad I've moved, feel much safer here than I would there, but boyfriend is working in Derby's westfield centre until 7pm :'( Won't be happy until he is back here with us.

Oh and Derby have also sent units of police to london AND have a football match on tonight. So if it does kick off the city is fucked. I just hope it's all rumours. Having lived in both places I think it's more likely to happen in Normanton than the city centre tbh.

Only Twitter rumours, but apparently theres a riot planned on saturday in Tottenham by local Hasidic Jews - How random...and why??!??!!
Isnt North London where the Jewish community mainly live? Why would you ruin your own area?

I look at my little boy and could not dream of him doing anything like this when is older or for my baby I am carrying. This really scares me to see what the youth is capable of today, guns, knives, rioting, arson and looting! Yeah well done parents for the way you have raised your children and before people say to me I know its not always the parents fault and I know but Im just so frustrated by all this.
