So sorry for all you guys who have been caught up in all this crap. I don't know the complete ins and outs, but have seen a bit on TV and it just looks ridiculous. The approach they take in northern ireland here is a no nonsense one. Plastic bullets and water cannons. Even if all the water cannons are here - could they not have shipped them over during the day today?!!
I heard a policeguy on this morning say the UK have no water cannons - last time I looked we in northern Ireland are part of the UK.

Even if they havnt got the water cannons here isnt fireengine hoses better then nothing?

Problem with that though is they are needed elswhere and the rioters arnt staying in groups they are spreading out all other so by the time a hose is set up they are out of the way and just come back and continue once the police have moved on.
They are basicly like rats.

Its shocking I have been in the forest all day, its silent, my kids are playing outside win the garden and its silent here, its so easy to forget what people are going through. This country is breaking my heart atm.
