All these riots everywhere!!!

my mum was strict when I was younger (not exactly old now) but it didn't stop me going out drinking/smoking/having sex at 13/14 ( ergh, I sound great!) but some of my friends had the most lax parents and they never did anything I did, a parent can only do so much

I do agree that these people should be at home though!

You remind me of me, but i was 15 not 13/14 when i had sex lol! but i was drinking, smoking and doing drugs since around 14 which is bad and i do regret it and would never go back there. My parents were just normal, relaxed when I was and strict when I got out of hand. IMO with my parents they route I went down wasnt there faults at all, but my own. I fell into the wrong group of friends but soon after finishing school with crap results (was predicted A* in everything in year 7, by the time it was year 10 I was predicted C/D) I realised i fucked up and I changed so much. I managed to get a job and get a place in college and from then on everything was great, settled down with OH and now I have a gorgeous baby girl. Not planned but wouldnt change that! In a way I am glad I went through a bad patch whilst I was younger because I was still young and my parents had more control than they would if i was 18/19 at the time, i also had teachers around me trying to help me aswell. One of which did and I am so thankful she walked into my life!

What Im trying to say is you can only influence someones actions as much as they will let you. Each person is free to choose whichever life they decide to, as parents we can only try to sway them the right way. (unless you lock them in the cupboard under the stairs like harry potter :haha: (joke))

I was 14 lol & that was my point you can't physically control children 24 hours a day, some parents might no even know, they could say their in such and such place (not condoning it at all btw)

They've planned more here tonight :nope:

FFS!

Sky news just showed a clip of a bunch of Manchester police catching a rioter. The rioter is dealt with heavy handedly and hit with an officers baton a few times and they swarm around him. Sky are questioning whether they acted "out of line"

COME ON - EVERYONE IS CALLING FOR RIOTERS TO BE DEALT WITH STRONGLY... This one was and now they're being questioned about it in the media. THIS IS WHY THEY ARE SCARED TO ACT!

how bloody ridiculous, no wonder they don't want
to get involved, i bet there's people who sue them afterwards
for being too forceful too :growlmad:

I've just woken up from a nap thanks to my lack of sleep last night, is all well so far? Any news of trouble? This is such a sad situation isn't it, all of us just waiting for something to happen :(

I know! I feel like a sitting duck! One min were in danger the next were not but theres always the possibility we could be again grrrr x

This is the video - Ok on a normal day this would be unacceptable but the PM has TOLD them to be robust and use whatever tactics they feel necessary. They handled this right IMHO!

In this particular situation, I think they should disable the ability to sue the police for being heavy handed. I think everyone can agree that they're trying to help so don't think they should worry about the freeze being taken advantage of. Of course that wouldn't happen though

Cameron did say he wasnt worried about 'phoney human rights'

Id have them all bloody shot for me, so i dont mind if they are getting a bit roughed up. I think a bit of media attention about them being rough will discourage a lot of people from going out 'for fun'

i love the rugby tackle at the start :haha:

i agree, videos of them taking action and being
forceful will work in their favour

man enough to loot and devastate people's lives...man enough to get a kick in the goolies!x
