Police are on Standby in Birmingham,West Brom and Wolverhampton

I think Birmingham have 500 riot police and about 1000 officers trying to police the outskirts of town trying to pick up and clear off the little gangs and pockets of youths hanging round town

liverpool is quiet today, but then it was quiet till 11ish again last night then all kicked off again

I know, I keep thinking that lets hope if it kicks off they use harsher actions to get them stopped. Personally i'd just shoot the daft sods, the country would be a much better place, no more benefits going to those who don't need it, no thugs whinging about no jobs and lack of opportunity and no one worried about their businesses and homes. (Of course I wouldn't actually shoot them but I wouldn't be sorry if that were the measures the forces took, its no more than they deserve).

They're doing it because they can. Because there is no authority strong enough and allowed to stop them.

There were racial tensions at the time, and there are tensions at the moment between classes. Although much of this is mindless criminality there are political issues which are causing tension, so some are fighting for a cause. It will all end just as that did when those issues are addressed.

big cities and most places are next to motorways

Im annoyed too hun! Its just crazy! My OH and I were talking about it and he said he thinks at least 90% of them dont even have a reason, he heard someone on the radio who was joining in and stealing blaming the government, but she didnt even know what party were in!

I just saw this and it made me so fuming I came in here to rant. With parents like that there is no wonder some kids are involved in this stuff.

Also one guy been in court today is a teaching assistant and learning mentor I can't believe these kind of people are involved he has been working with young kids and would do stuff like this we have some awful role models.
