All these riots everywhere!!!

They have finally said its a Riot!

They are extended claims from 14 days to 42 days!

I'm pleased with his speach today! Nice to see Labour saying they stand shoulder to shoulder on this.

I really do hope they dont cut the police force.

I'm glad the businesses that need it will have funds available.

I agree, Its good to hear them agreeing for once

Perhaps this will change things and increase the amount of police we have on a day to day basis.

Even labour are saying its not the conservitives fault, there is no one fault and certianly not one governments fault.

I think I like this guy. He knows the country needs a major over-haul!

I agree 100% that the Government have failed.

But this country will always put their families first before others. It doesnt mean they dont want to help in thei community. I help in mine but ultimately I am going to do what I can for my family.

These teenagers say they did it cos they want the police off their backs, they want to be left alone and stopped being pulled up and searched all the time. Stop carrying knives and guns and acting like your some ghetto criminal and then you wont be stopped. The police pull them over because they are trying to protect a the community.

I have been pulled over many a time because I look young (insulting at 24 :haha:) they thought my car was stolen because it was brand new and the officer thought I was still in school. I just let them do what they were doing and I was soon on my way. Sometimes people think they are being treated like shit cos they are so defensive.

It really gets on my nerves when people whinge about the police being on their backs all the time. The only people i've seen with a hatred towards the police seem to be the ones who are doing things they shouldn't be. The rest of us let them get on with their jobs, they soon realise you're not wrong doing and you're on your way. I for one am very thankful we have a police force who try their best to help the community. Like you, i've been stopped before because i'm young and they soon let me on my way :D

I'm very proud of all officers on duty the past few days. They've all had their work cut out for them and rose to the challenge greatly. It's nice to see people showing their appreciation for them on twitter

So ... they are still cutting police budgets?

I think I read somewhere that one of the politicians was planning on voicing their opinion that they shouldn't be cut. Hopefully they will come to their senses. Might have heard it on the news actually.

Yup - That's what he's currently saying xx

Hmmmm ... I understand the though process, but after the past week I dont think I agree. I do think spending needs to be looked at accross the board, Ive worked as an NHS nurse and have seen areas that could be saved on. But I think in the here and now, we need more policing!

Did anyone see the story about the children's hospital in birmingham/nottingham (I can't remember which)? I don't think i've seen it mentioned but may have missed it.

Apparently police and hospital staff linked arms and made it clear no one was getting in. Supposedly there were 20 thugs outside all armed with knifes :nope: I read it in the paper yesterday morning. Good on them sticking together!

i think after this they really shouldn't be cutting
police, maybe next year if they HAVE to but not now
people need the police at the moment and i think
it would cause more harm than good

We had a few broken car windows round here last night but that was it..

Seems like rioters dont like the rain?!

I dont think we need MORE policing, but it certaintly doesnt need cut. Thats ludacrious.
