amount of fluid

odd question - does anyone one if there's a way to tell how much amniotic fluid you have? don't know, maybe if your bump is too hard or too soft...or something?!

When i went for a scan at 32 weeks the sonographer said that my bump was very hard before she even started scanning me,once she had done the scan she then told me that i did have some extra fluid (upper right pool) and it was just within the normal range
