I'm 13 weeks 2 days & I just purchased the angelsounds fetal doppler and I just cant seem tofind the heartbeat . I'm beginning to worry just a tad .

Has anyone else purchased this item ?
Any tips on how to find it ?
Any input ?

I don't have angelsound, I have babysound and I found the HB with it at 10 weeks. Is usually on the right side where the hair line is.today was more right very close to the hip.sometimes is right under the belly button in the middle.

Many will say that it ,may take longer for some the find the HB but I believe at 13 weeks you should find it.I can even hear how it moves.

Drink some orange juice or try after you eat.Use lots of baby oil or gel and move slow.maybe YouTube videos may help you too.

I have the sonoline b, just thought I would give you some input on how I found it. The first time it took me about 30 mins. It was hidden behind the placenta (the whoosh whoosh wind storm sound). The Doppler did not even pick it up it was so soft.
I tried the next day and found in pretty quick about an inch under my belly button. Just move the probe veeery slow and keep it in one spot and move it in circles ant different angles. The best time is right when you wake up with a full bladder and empty stomach. I notice I never find the HB after I ate. Also try YouTube, there are a lot of great videos.

Here is a link that I found useful when I was trying. Watch the video on the link. Good luck and remember sometimes you just need to take a break and try again later! The baby maybe hiding.

I didn't want to read and run, I don't have any personal experience but I've read on here about some not finding a heartbeat until after 14 weeks and sometimes later. Try not to worry too much, baby is just prob hiding :) xx

Hi I have the angel sounds and with my first it took me a while to find it. Even later on in pregnancy I would struggle sometimes as baby was hiding. Try not to worry and just keep trying. You will prob find it very low down at mo and u may have to press in a little bit x

This is exactly why u shouldnt use them until later in pregnancy. the area u 'may' find it is as low as ur pubic bone. angel sounds arent v good dopplers bt200 are the best and even then it was 16 weeks until i heard the hb

i got mine this morning and took me quite a while to find it but heard alot of movements, glad u found it :)

I always found Jax's heartbeat in first tri just above my pubic bone a little to the right with my angel sounds Doppler and never had too much of a problem ... You definitely need a gel and I found early on if you put it at and angle it would work better :) glad you found it though !!
