Any1 else drinking Gaviscon by the bottle?

Heartburn is shocking and I cant even lie on my right side in bed anymore as it is worse!
I seem to have it most of the day too!
I feel like Im guzzling the gaviscon even though I dont like taking meds....its bad enough that I need it....Oh the joys x

There seems to be no limit, I noticed that...I asked MW and she said its okay to use when u need it - Ive asked other friends who have had their babies and they guzzled the stuff......I had a big bottle of Boots own brand- used it but YACK!!!!
Got Gaviscon aniseed now and it tastes better.....works straight away too thank the lord!!!!

Yep, I love how fast it works. There's not really a limit, but I've read if you take *too* much, it may cause some bloating. I'll deal with bloating rather than heartburn!

Can't get gaviscon here, I live on Alucol tablets they are brutal but thank God they work fast!!! Awful!!!

lol Me too..I have bottles hidden everywhere so its easy to get to wherever I'm at. We're like Gaviscon addicts And chewables in the purse, of course!

Same! I saw a pregnant lady in Asda once taking a big swig from a bottle she pulled out of her bag and I just couldn't do it. I tried it once early on in pregnancy and was nearly sick. Rennies are much better for me, but find they don't help too much when it's quite severe but they help with mild heartburn.

Huge bottles of Gavison by the bed so I can have some just before bed and then wake up in the night for a swig or two and Rennies Soft Chews for in between kept in bag, car, hubby's car, kitchen, lounge, dining room.......well you get the picture!!

Unfortunately one of the dogs also seems to be attracted to the smell of mint in the soft chews so is constantly rooting through my bag for them - he really should have the best digestion a dog can have!

My prescription for Gaviscon has directions on it - 2 5ml teaspoons 3 times a day but that doesn't go anywhere near touching the heartburn so I've been told just to have it when I need it. That reminds me, must go now and phone doctor's for my next prescription!

I have a bottle upstairs and one downstairs and although a little expensive, i have the little pocket sachets of gaviscon in my bag...like little tubes with one serving if you like....cant be without them.

Yip it's fantastic stuff!!! DH bought me the biiiiiiiiiiiig bottle lol that should suffice a while! I would like to test the theory that hairy babies give heartburn! We should all come back to this thread once we've had our LO's to see who it's rang true for. Some say it's a myth but some of my friends swear by this ?!?!?

I've had heartburn the whole pregnancy!! They say it gets better once you drop, but it hasn't for me. Fell asleep on the couch 2 nights ago and was woken up by the acid reflux burning my windpipe and heading for my lungs!!! It was the worst way to wake up.
Gaviscon never really helped me, so I've been eating rennie by the box load! Not that its much help. Everything gives me indigestion - even yogurt!!
I'm 3 days over and can't wait to have the baby, just to get rid of all the acid reflux and indigestion/heartburn....
