Anyone else about 28 - 30 weeks? Due late November - December.

:hi: I'm due Dec 6, and we're soooo excited! I'm still tweaking my registry - practically every day it seems as I start realizing there are things that I would like to have but are absolutely not necessary :haha:

For those getting induced early or getting a c-section early, would you mind sharing why? If it's too personal that's fine but I'm just curious!

I have myopia (extreme thin retinas) so pushing for me is out of the question or it could result in me ending up blind . They won't even let me attempt a natural birth because of this x

Wow, seriously?! I have that too, and had to have scleral buckle surgery on my right eye to to reattach my retina in that eye 3 years ago. My doctor hasn't said anything about not being able to push due to this. This has me worrying now.

My MIL want to throw me a shower, which is totally cool. HOWEVER, I have already bought everything I need... even clothes in newborn, 0/3, AND 3/6 months. All I need to get as of now is a carseat.

If she decides to throw me a shower I really just want diapers and formula. Is that bad? I'm afraid the guests might find that pretty boring....but at least they would know that their gift would most definitely get used and be needed!!

Hi girls! I'm due December 9th with my first bub, a little girl :) everything is going great so far but I am very impatient to meet her!

Are you ladies still working? When does everyone finish up? I was meant to be working till 36 weeks but am hoping to start mat leave earlier. I'm exhausted!!

You could suggest to your mom that instead of a traditional shower she could throw you a diaper shower - including diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream... and then do diaper themed shower games? Also, have you signed up for the VIB card with BabiesRus? It's specifically for diapers, wipes, and formula that you can load money on to and family/friends can also load money onto it. Here's the link for it - https://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=11890352

Same here! We are both impatient to meet our baby girl.

I am still working, but I pretty much only work part part-time. I am a massage therapist and have cut down considerably on my clients so I only see about 6 clients a month. I also am in school - part-time - finishing up my Master's program so that takes up a lot of my time and my brain doesn't seem to work as well as it used to :haha:

I have my own business working from home. I make jjewellery, tiaras, keepsake teddys and quilts and a whole plethora of other things. I shall not actually "finish" work, I'll just work up to and around the birth and then when time allows afterwards once baby is here. It's all very flexible!

I'll be 29 weeks Tuesday, and it seems like the majority of the people here are 38+. I was just looking to connect with others who may have a bit of a longer wait, like me.

I'm due December 10, but I'm having my little girl via c-section mid to late October due to fibroid tumors.

hi Jennifer...
Am due on December 10 with my little girl too. Good luck with your c section... All is normal in here and got to wait til December before baby girl arrives.. Getting a little hard time now I wish its sooner :)

Hey ladies!! I am also in the 28-30 weeks mark. Actually, in my 30th week to be exact. Due at the end of November. My gran was saying "maybe you'll have the baby early December and she'll have the same bday as you?" :haha: which would be cute, cos then both me and LO would have the same bday as gran!!

My sister asked me if I wanted a baby shower... I said no... because I am in the process of throwing her a graduation party :happydance: she's graduated in June but we never really celebrated as SO many things were going on in June and I was unwell.

On Thursday I start my 8th month. I am kinda excited about that, but not excited about standing on the scales at my doctor's next week. I keep telling myself that as long as there are no underlying medical complications for my weight gain, then it's okay. :haha:  Hope this mindset stays with me though.

hi perplexed..

my OB told me my due date is November 25 base on my LMP but my ultrasound says its December 10. I do gain much now too.. Well, I do worry when I did not gain any weight since I get pregnant til my 22th week but I do worry more now that I gain 22 lbs in almost 3 weeks,,, I did not hit the scale for 3 weeks now and I think ive gained another 10lbs,, Blame my appetite and just being lazy around...

Hi I'm 30 weeks and due 28th November. Does everybody know if they are having a boy or girl? We are team yellow x

I'm the same due date as you loubylou. Now that we have reached the 30's it feels so real but yet still some time off. We are expecting a boy.

How far along is everyone with their nursery preparations and buying things for baby? We only just started as I'm a bit superstitious. We started our antenatal classes last week.

I'm due December 12th :) with a little girl!
I didn't realise there was so many around this range, I only ever read the threads from the 34+ week mark, I guess more starts to happen around then haha

Hi I am 28 weeks tomorrow and feel like time is dragging. In reality my due date is just around the corner and there is so much still to do. Time will fly

At first I gained only 6 pounds until the middle to the end of the 2nd tri, then I suddenly put on 20 pounds. No GD or anything so maybe it shouldn't be too worrying. I was on bed rest most of 1st & 2nd tri, so maybe the lack of activity kind of added to what happened. I will try not to worry... but I am. Lol.

I have to wait til at least 38 weeks so i will qualify for my works short term disability. So i am praying she doesn't come early.

I think I'm pretty well prepared even tho I don't feel it, the nursery is painted the carpet is down cot is in furniture is being delivered on fri the blind is being fitted on thurs.

I think I'm sorted for baby stuff got clothes and have been stashing wipes and stuff for weeks, I've just started thinking about my hospital bag and have got pads, maternity nickers and what not, I don't wana go too overboard but wana be prepared, shopping feels like it's the one thing I can control.

I am a stay at home mom, and love my DH for kicking so much ass at work to allow me to do so! :happydance:

That said... I have FOUR daughters. That is one job you never clock out of, so I am definitely exhausted. It is always go go go around here for me, someone always needs something, is touching someone else, is arguing, is not sharing ect. A mother's job is never done.

I am not doing a nursery this time around. Baby will be in our room for the first several months of her life, and after that will be sharing with her sister because I REEEAAALLLY didn't want to move. Her sister's room is super cute though with pink drapes, and Hello Kitty wall decor, bedding sets ect. She will fit right in there!

Wow, seriously?! I have that too, and had to have scleral buckle surgery on my right eye to to reattach my retina in that eye 3 years ago. My doctor hasn't said anything about not being able to push due to this. This has me worrying now.

It was brought up at an eye check up when I was pregnant with DS about 9 years ago (during the usual lecture about no sport or physical activity ,apparently even running isn't good or horse riding  ) he noticed my big belly and asked if I realised pushing was out of the question (I didn't give it any thought up until then and was ready to push ) he said the strain from pushing would be enough to cause damage ,wrote me a note and I gave it to the MW .ever since it's stayed in my notes and just agreed that it's too risky to attempt natural labour . Please don't let it worry you tho , but maybe talk to your eye specialist /gp about it . Perhaps mine was just over cautious .
I'm too scared to test out his theory :hugs:
