Anyone else about 28 - 30 weeks? Due late November - December.

:hi: everyone!

This is a nice thread! I'm due 29th of Nov, baby girl. I kind of feel in between the Nov and Dec threads so this is just perfect

There are quite few of you giving birth early, please keep us update!

IsabellaJayne-I'm on thinning blood injections too, however I'm probably stopping them at 34 weeks and see what happens.
Ideally I'd love to go full term and when it comes it comes..but with you never know.

Nursery more or less all done..so much stuff to buy!!

Suggestion please: what clothes does your baby need when he/she comes out and following days? A bodysuit and a sleepsuit plus blanket? Or something heavier? not a clue!!

For those getting induced early or getting a c-section early, would you mind sharing why? If it's too personal that's fine but I'm just curious!

I have myopia (extreme thin retinas) so pushing for me is out of the question or it could result in me ending up blind . They won't even let me attempt a natural birth because of this x

Wow, seriously?! I have that too, and had to have scleral buckle surgery on my right eye to to reattach my retina in that eye 3 years ago. My doctor hasn't said anything about not being able to push due to this. This has me worrying now.

It was brought up at an eye check up when I was pregnant with DS about 9 years ago (during the usual lecture about no sport or physical activity ,apparently even running isn't good or horse riding  ) he noticed my big belly and asked if I realised pushing was out of the question (I didn't give it any thought up until then and was ready to push ) he said the strain from pushing would be enough to cause damage ,wrote me a note and I gave it to the MW .ever since it's stayed in my notes and just agreed that it's too risky to attempt natural labour . Please don't let it worry you tho , but maybe talk to your eye specialist /gp about it . Perhaps mine was just over cautious .
I'm too scared to test out his theory :hugs:

I actually lost most of the vision in my right eye due to the detachment and subsequent surgery to reattach it, though I still have some (better than none at all). My surgeon said no contact sports and no looping rollercoasters. She said exercise was fine once I recovered from surgery (that took about 6 months). It is in my file that I had this condition and the surgery, but my OB hasn't said anything. Maybe our conditions are a little different?

The nursery is in our room, so we matched the nursery bedding with our room (I ended up buying fabric and sewing it myself). I just need to cover a few more bins I got from the dollar store for storage in the hutch we're using for her clothing, burp cloths, diapers, etc. We are also looking for a small dresser since we're realizing that we need a bit more storage. But overall, it's pretty much done. Really, it's more needing those final touches than anything else.

Sunnysun - I'm not sure about the clothing, but I was given a ton of newborn and 0-3 month clothes by my sister's boyfriend's mom and those are all mostly onesies (bodysuits). All but a couple are long sleeved and have fold over mittens to prevent baby from accidentally scratching herself. I also have a gown (one-sized so it has a lot of life :) ) and a couple of footed pjs. I'm thinking either a blanket for swaddling or a wearable swaddle might be needed as newborns tend to enjoy swaddling.

Oh the nursery. I wont be able to do anything about the nursery until the remodel on the house is done. When that will be, I don't know. Thankfully our baby will be in our room for the first few months. I just have to move things around and get the big armoir out to make room for the bassinet and changing table. It'll be a tight fit until the nursery room is completed. But I have no control over it, or else it would be done.

As for clothes, I have no idea what we'll need. So I just bought a ton of stuff in all different sizes to stock up. It was all clearance items, so I don't feel bad about it. I think I have enough up to 12 months. After that I can just go out and buy what is needed.

 I'm due 29th of November but expecting a late baby :) I seem to take longer to grow my babies.

I still haven't started on my little ones nursery, I think I know what I'm going to do buuuuut I still haven't even got a cot because my other daughter is still using it

whittnie - That must be stressful with the remodel! I can't even imagine. At least it sounds like you have the clothing taken care of though. We just have newborn-3 month for now, and will most likely be getting any other clothing from a gently used baby clothing shop in town. Plus you can bring in clothing your baby has outgrown (as long as it's in good condition and washed) and she gives you 40% of the value of the clothing as store credit to use for future purchases. BTW, I see you're from Escondido, I used to live in San Marcos before moving up to the Bay Area - I miss the beaches down there.

Blob - I'm due the first week of December, but have a nagging feeling she's going to come a week early (Thanksgiving to be precise, though maybe I'm just being paranoid!! LOL). Is the nursery going to be in a separate room, shared with your two girls, or in your room? You still have about 2 1/2 months, I was just super impatient and got the crib in July even though she's going to be sleeping in bed with us for the first few months (we're using an in-bed cosleeper)! :haha:

Are you on Clexane? I asked about stopping around 35 weeks and they said no  , ideally wouldn't like to be induced but oh well! Hopefully it'll be 39/40 weeks instead of 37 :)

Hi ladies I am 28 weeks and due date is Dec.6th. Hope it goes smoothly for all of us :baby:

There are so many of us, end Nov- beg Dec- THIS IS GREAT!

Thank you for your advice Stash- I agree about blankets or swaddle blankets, I will be definitely doing that too.

Whittnie- WOW you have lots of clothes! Well done for being so organised, I only have until 3months and I will probably ask people to buy me the rest!

Blob- we have the same due date!

I have been on Tinzaparin for about 7 months and now they switched me to Deltaparin. Clexane is a similar one, they're all for thinning the blood just different brands/names.
Why did they say no about stopping at 35 weeks? I have been told that once you stop your blood is still going to be quite thin as we've been injecting for a while, it will then try to start clotting again a bit which is necessary during labour to prevent hemorrhage. Either way, I'm sure we will be fine!:winkwink:

I've no idea :/... they said I just wouldnt take it the morning of the induction and once Id had her i would take them 6 weeks PP., I hope they know what they're doing lol!!

The remodel is really stressful. At least I have all the big items purchased and ready to go when things DO get done. It's just making me super anxious not having a place for baby to go when he does arrive. I keep thinking, "What if he is early? What then?" Oh, dear. I think I stress myself out over things even when they can not be changed or helped. :dohh:

As for living in Esco, what a small world. I used to live in San Marcos in a lovely town home, but we had to move back with OH's parents to help them with the mortgage on their house as OH's dad lost his job. If you're wondering how we can afford the remodel, OH is handy and OH's dad is a carpenter. They are doing it all themselves and that's why it is taking for-ev-er. Besides they have had all the remodel stuff in the garage. It will be really nice after it's all done. Wood flooring is going in and is so much more sanitary than the carpeting we have currently.

As for the clothes, yea i have a ton of clothes. I couldn't help myself in buying them. I couldn't pass up all the deals. So after it was all said and done, I jotted down everything I had and ended up with everything we needed from newborn to 12 months and I have several pants and shorts for 18 months and a couple things in 24 months. I felt so silly after looking at it all, but at least I won't have to spend that money in the future and it is already spent. That is comforting at least. I also bought most items for 2 dollars or less and most are carter's or other brands similar. So not bad. There are a couple of things I splurged on, like two GAP jackets (when they were having their 30% off deal). I loved them! And his take home outfit. It is the cutest, most adorable, most embarrassing thing that I can dress him in to show future girlfriends in baby pictures later in his life. :haha:

I kinda wish we had something like that gently used baby store you have. It would save us even more money. We will be saving a lot of things that both boys and girls can wear as we are going to try for at least one more baby in the future. I don't know why I did buy any gently used items, it would have been less expensive, but I did get a lot of good deals.

Also sorry for the long post. I guess I am a little chat happy and lonely atm.
