Anyone else doing IUI in April?

Hi ladies,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive our third and final child for a year now. The other two came along so easily and all our testing has come back normal, so this oddly long amount of time (considering how easily the others came) has been very confusing and frustrating.

I went to see a fertility specialist, who has scheduled me in for a HSG tomorrow (!!) to check my tubes and has ordered a few blood tests I hadn't had done. I then need to get a couple more standard blood test from the GP and if all that comes back before the end of my cycle, we're due to start IUI with assisted ovulation next cycle (AF due around the 22nd of March).

I'm really excited about the idea of getting some help! Then there's the added bonus of *if* we conceive next cycle the due date will be a couple of days after Christmas, which would be quite magical. I doubt my next baby will be on time, as the last was nearly a month early, but it would be a pretty special due date!

Anyone else out there due to start IUI soon? :wave:

Hi Squirrel.

I'll be doing an IUI sometime in April, possibly late March. I have one son already, conceived from IUI, and we would love to give him a sibling. I've done all my testing again and have my follow-up appointment on March 24th. If my cycles stay steady I'll be on CD1 on March 25th so I'm hoping my doctor lets me start then. Please, oh please, I hope AF doesn't come early!

I'll be on the same protocol I was on last time and will be taking gonal-F and an ovidrel trigger shot. I'm really excited to be trying again and a bit scared too.

Wow, we'll be pretty close if we both get the go ahead next cycle and both get AF when we expect

Did you conceive first time doing IUI with your son?

My HSG came back normal today, so that's one extra box ticked before doing he IUI next cycle.

Hi Squirrel! Sorry for the late response, I had a day off and didn't touch a computer or my cell phone (OMG), at all.

Congrats on the normal HSG! Its nice to have all your boxes ticked off.

I actually did get pregnant on the first IUI, and this was my first and only pregnancy. My doctor was surprised it worked because she had urged me to go straight to IVF. I have low ovarian reserve, my AMH was 1.6 in 2012. My husband and I had be trying for 4 years before that with no luck. I'm afraid I used up all my luck with my little guy, and this time around it may take longer to fall pregnant.

My son was early too, he was born at 28w1d. So any due date they give me I may be a little skeptical about
