I just started round 2 today, I get head aches too. I take two extra strength Tylenol with the clomid, seems to be helping! I'm taking 50mg CD 3-7!
Hi! I am about to start my first round of clomid.. unfortunately I am having to take provera to Jumpstart af. I'm eager to see how things go for you.
Why were you prescribed clomid?
I have had the most irregular cycle my whole life. I have maybe 3 periods a year. Apparently i am one of the unlucky ones who just almost never ovulates which makes conception virtually impossible!
I hope you get a lucky first round!
Hi! 3 periods a yr sounds like such a $ saver to me lol
But definitely a hindrance in TTC terms.
We've been trying for about a year now and no luck. All my tests came back fine..I've always had clockwork cycles..down to the hour I can tell when she's coming. H had the SA and that was also normal. I was hesitant with the clomid (I hate taking anything even for a headache) but decided to give it a try. If it doesn't work on this first try I think we might give up for a while...
Does the provera auto start your cycle or is it within x amount of days/ weeks??

Aww I'm sorry to hear that even with great cycles your system won't cooperate. I'd encourage you not to give up after just one try though, as many women need a higher dose of Clomid. The Clomid could also do it's job just fine but still without pregnancy, since you have about the same chance of pregnancy as naturally.
Provera is progesterone, and it works the same as the body naturally does during the second half of your cycle. So normally your body produces progesterone for 10+ days, and if you are pregnant it keeps pumping out progesterone to support the pregnancy. If you aren't pregnant, your progesterone level drops and you get a period.
So us messed up ladies, our bodies don't produce progesterone correctly, so we have to use Provera to act like it. I'm glad you don't have to use it also.
Hi I am about to start my first cycle of clomid (in a few days time when af shows!) days 2-6 100 mg. Our tests were normal, I had a miscarriage after natural conception last year. AF is regular as clock work and I think I ovulate but last time it took a long time to get bfp and it is this time and I have turned 40 so FS is hoping this might help. I have read lots about it but it is good to find this thread and I will be stalking it to see how you all get on Are you ladies having the scans to monitor folicles and the jab to ovulate?
I love how I mentioned my nipples twice! Bahahahahahah.
How long are you going to wait to start testing? I drive myself made last month. :-/

Love your kitten picture, it's adorable! The doctor didn't say anything about monitoring this cycle, beyond charting to confirm ovulation.
We are paying out of pocket for everything, so can't really afford a lot of tests anyway. If this cycle fails I will probably ask for at least a few tests to see what's happening.
