Anyone else on 1st Clomid round?

Yuck 12 hour days, that's brutal. I wish everyone would just get a bfp the first try so we don't have to keep going thru this torture!
Call me crazy, last night I spent some time reading how others had announced their pregnancy. There were some truly hilarious stories. Am I nuts for already thinking of how I want to tell family and my husband?

Minuet- did AF show up on her own or did you have to take provera? I just ended my provera period and will begin my very first clomid cycle tomorrow night. I try to stay positive but deep down I feel like pregnancy is something that will never happen for me. But, heres to hoping and praying!

Yes I do. I can't remember a time where I didn't have creamy then ewcm then creamy again..followed by O..then sore bbs then AF. It's been going on for years...i just didnt know why until I was in my late 20s lol

No I had to take provera to start this AF, and am actually really happy about how normal it was - little to no spotting beforehand vs my usual days of spotting.

I'm also starting Clomid tomorrow days 3-7, we're on the same schedule.

I've felt hopeless about pregnancy for so long now so I understand how you feel. However we are starting a drug that has great success rates so let that,give you some hope!
That said I'll probably be crushed if this cycle doesn't at least cause ovulation.

Hi ladies, just trying to catch up on how you are all doing. I finished my round of clomid and had my ovritrelle jab yesterday so should ovulate soon. I had my scan and had 3 good follicles, my best being 20mm. My womb lining was over 9mm which he said was also good for 11dpo. I am having lots of twinges on the side with two follicles (including the big one).

Minuet we certainly need to see some bfps here soon don't we!

That sounds really promising! From what I've heard, 20mm is great. Maybe you'll drop two eggs! :O

Were the follie scans something that was requested by a doc or something that you requested?
I'm only asking bc I wasn't offered anything like that...only the day 21 bloodwork. I'm assuming nothing else was offered bc I have normal cycles?

Took the first Clomid an hour and some ago, and have a good headache going on now. However, headaches are pretty common with me so it's hard to say if it's related to the meds or not.
I bought some cute baby socks tonight, but to be fair they were "filler items" for some Kohls purchases. Kohls is having an awesome deal on Fiestaware - my new favorite plates. Of course hubby wanted to know if I picked girl or boy colored socks - they were neutrals.

Hi ladies!! Can I join in? I'm 6dpo and currently waiting to either see if I'm pregnant or if AF comes. If AF finds me then I have to go for an HSG test. If my tubes are good then I will start my first round of clomid. I'm so nervous about the test and if that all goes ok I will start to freak out about clomid lol. I ovulate late and irregularly. Cd21-Cd35 so super long cycles. I recently found out I have an under active thyroid so I began taking meds for that in May so that should begin helping balance hormones. Did all of you have to do the HSG test first? I'm curious if my dr is concerned and ordered it for me because she's afraid of blockage. She said she wants the scan to ensure clomid doesn't cause an etopic pregnancy. I'm really psyching myself out here lol.

Hey ladies. So my story is we have been TTC for 16 months now and have had 4 miscarriages all around 5 weeks. After tons of testing and seeing multiple specialist I hve been prescribed clomid 25mgs cd3-7. I also am to take prometrium which is a progesterone from 3 DPO to AF. So because of when I started I only took the progesterone last month, I stopped it at cd13 when I had neg tests and then spotted. My cycles are usually very normal at 28 days but my period was late this month, assuming because of the progesterone. Anyways my question is.. I have been spotting but on Friday I had heavier red spotting, I needed a tampon (sorry tmi) but it wasn't a constant flow. Do I put that as cd 1 or sat when it started heavy? Just confused on whether to start the clomid today or tomorrow?

TTC n hopeful, I had an hsg. It was a quick procedure and I had it done before I was prescribed anything. Definitely take an Advil before you go, the fluid makes for some nasty cramping but it's only for a minute or so. Good luck!

Some doctors do HSG test first and some don't - not sure why the difference there. My doctor never said anything about it at all actually, but I've heard it can make you more likely to get pregnant right away!
She just said that since I have PCOS and my charts seem to indicate my body is trying to ovulate, that Clomid should help me to do so. She did say though that she thinks it won't happen until 150mg of Clomid.
I am really hoping that isn't the case, as we are starting out at 50mg this month.
I'm glad you found out about the thyroid, that should help your body respond correctly to the Clomid.

They say to count CD1 as the first day of red flow. I would assume if you needed a tampon on Friday that should count as flow? It's really annoying when AF won't just be decisive one way or the other so we can know for sure!
Clomid and progesterone can make your cycles longer, but I'd imagine you'd want to take the progesterone for at least 14 days after ovulation. Are you charting?
I'm so sorry you have had so many miscarriages, that must be very hard to deal with.

I just basically wanted reassurance that she didn't choose for me to have the scan because she's afraid of blockage and didn't tell me or something. I always think the worst lol.
Lrowbie I agree I would go from the first day of red flow regardless if it was strong or not. The brown and light pink are the ones u wouldn't count. Good luck!!
