Anyone ever let OH chose babies name?!!

Im letting OH choose what we will name our son if we have a boy and I get to name our daughter if its a girl. Hes already got his name all ready and Ive just started writing down some names that I like lol

OH got to have his surname and family name, so i got to choose what was inbetween Shah Laila Anise Akhtar .. it wasn't a case of me picking it and him having to lump it if he didn't like it though, if that was the case i woulda chose something else x

We chose Sofia's name together, in the hours after she was born and decided definitely the next morning. We'd had a list of names, and actually Alicia was at the top but Sofia just suited her better. We then gave her Lily as a middle name as she was born May 1st and apparently lillies are the official flower of May day. I didn't know that but my Mum presented me with a bunch - Lily wasn't on our list before.

Still have no idea for this baby, we're making a list and I guess it will just depend on what he/she is like when they arrive.

Saying that, even getting names on the list is a battle

DH chose a girl's name, as he wanted to name her after his Nan (who passed away on our wedding day a few years ago). Her name was Elizabeth. We'll change the spelling to Elisabeth and we'll shorten it to Lissie rather than Liz or Lizzie. I think it'll make a common name more unusual that way. Her second name will be Grace.
We both picked a boys name as James was always both our favourite name for a boy. So that was easy!
Really want to know whether I'm carrying a James or a Lissie now!!

i always struggle on boys names, my mum named my first born ( my son) who is called Gareth with the middle name jeffrey (after my dad), and my OH chose our second childs name ( a daughter) she is called jessica with the middle names shirley and margaret (after my late grandma and late great auntie) i want to call our 3rd (that i am pregnant with) Leland but OH isnt keen on it xx

My Husband suggested the name "Isaac" which I also happened to like...as our pregnancy progressed, we knew that this is what our son would be called, although we referred to him as Bean throughout the 9 months....

So yeah, I guess he did choose it!

my OH mentioned that his aunt used to be called lottie and from that day we called my bump lottie and then he added may to it so shes lottie-may ella the ella was my only input of my DD name and that was after my best friend so my OH certantly did have his say.xx

My DH suggested our DD's name. Her name is Jessalyn Bree. We had both been searching for a girls name when he suggested it. I love it. It isn't a widely used name yet, and I didn't want a top 100 name. Our DS we both liked. We both came up with lists and both liked Everett James. I had liked the name Everett since my first crush in kindergarten and my DH had liked it for years too. Now we need to come up with a name for baby #3. My DH won't start making suggestions until after he sees the baby on the u/s. We always find the task rather difficult. Finding something not common, that isn't too crazy to spell, pronounce or too wacky or out there. We both have to agree.

We chose her name together, but if he was left to his own devises she would be called 'Rocket Danger'.

OH chose both of my childrens names, wasnt sure about either at first but totally grew to love them! x

He did a good job too, Elizabeth is lovely and Justice is so unique I love it! I have suggested the name Truth to my oh but don't think he likes it so much! he is such a fuss pot.

I would never let him choose a name anyway, not that he actually suggests any at all.

i suggested Robyn right in the beginning, OH said he didn't like it. 2 months later OH said 'what about Robyn?' I just said 'yes i love it'! ha ha - so he THINKS he picked it!

We let DS pick her middle name though.... could have been a big mistake (i was forced to say no to Ben10 and zeus!!), but when he actually really thought about it he picked Eleanor... and i love it!!!
