Anyone had tests on nhs??

Han any update? Did u try Clomid? How was ur appointment on apr 14?

My update is that I saw my Dr again on Monday and the good news is that she said in July, when we've been trying a year, she'll try to get me into the fertility clinic- I'm guessing that would include more testing, including a SA for OH, and maybe something like Clomid. For now, she's upped my Metformin dosage to 1000mg a day, since I still didn't have a clear ovulation with 500mg last cycle, and I'm staying on the iron pills too.

So, after my successful IUI, followed by my m/c of twins, I'm finally ready to get back on the IUI horse. It took a few months just to get my head back in the right place and to let my body work out the kinks, but I think we're going to try to get in for another IUI in June. I'm also hoping to have my follow up with my FS soon, so we can talk about options and what could be going on with me. But, really, I'm hoping this next IUI is the one that produces a sticky sticky baby. ;)

Had the HSG examination today and I did not know that I should have booked doctor appointment when I booked HSG. Now I have to wait 2 months to discuss the results as there is no appointment slot available. It is going to be difficult for me to wait that long to know the results! HSG was fine, not bad as I thought. It is like a strong menstural cramp and I did not take any pain killer. I came back to work after the appointment. Han17 any updates?

Good luck with the wait. Can you call for the results? I had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment with my Dr for my results of the u/s, but then when I went to have a blood test before then, the blood technician was able to read the results in my records.

Is it! Thanks for the info. I am dying to know the results. The lady over the phone said she can't tell and I have to talk to the doctor, however I will check if I meet personally, whether there will be a difference.

My new GP does phone appointments too- which was very handy when I needed a new prescription for Metformin before I went on holiday but couldn't get a face to face appointment until after holiday!

I managed to get my hsg results by asking the hospital to fax the results to my GP and I collected the results from my GP. Everything is fine and when we meet the consultant we will get to know what to do next. Hope everyone is doing good.

Glad everything is good!

I'm just waiting and trying until July when hopefully I'll be referred to a fertility clinic.

Clearblue is doing a study if anyone is interested

I wish you don't have to go to the FC and you will get your BFP before that.

Thanks- I think I ovulated last cycle because I just finished the first AF that felt like a 'real AF' since I've been of BCPs (10 months now!). The other bleeding I've had has been somewhat regular, but really light and feels more like it's just the lining breaking down as I didn't have any other symptoms. So hopefully it's the result of the Metformin, the iron, or just my body regulating. Or, I've also been trying soy isoflavones. AF came early last time based on when I think I ovulated, but I'm hoping this cycle will be more normal. I'll still take help in July even if I'm ovulating now though!

I have got the delivery from clearblue. There are 20 ovulation tests and 3 pregnancy tests. The study is for 3 months and they will give you all the supplies. If you get pregnant during the study they will give you £60 High street vouchers if you send them regular urine samples. If you don't get pregnant during the 3 months, they will give you 3 more months supply of ovulation tests

I've just got my info pack/consent form today so will send it off Monday!

So, about this Clearblue thing...How do you send them the samples? Have they called you or given you more information about what they're studying?

For some reason, my brain is just like...What do they DO with all that urine? I can't get past it...but I am totally curious and I think I might do it too!

You get 3x tupperwear tubs with 14 urine sample pots, little bags to put each sample in, a film to seal and a sticker to put on the sample to say which days sample it is, 2 months worth of CB digital ovulation tests (the wand and 20 test sticks), an intercourse diary, and a diary to state when your bleeding, when you've used to OV test, pregnancy test, etc - easy to fill in, just ticky boxes. And 3 pregnancy tests. Oh, and a contraption to put over the toilet to pee in and funnel into the little pots haha!!

You send each tupperwear tub in the big jiffy envelopes supplied every 14 days with the forms filled in to that point. The address has Freepost mentioned. They will give everything including pen to fill the forms

Ella if you are interested you might want to enroll soon by clicking on the link on their website. Its been there for a month and might not be available for long

They will call you to answer all your queries, send you document explaining what to do and will give you a number to call them if you have any queries. I did not ask her in detail about the study but I am guessing it is for the following

In order to develop and validate new and existing products SPD needs to maintain a sample bank of early pregnancy urine samples from the beginning of the cycle in which pregnancy is achieved, and throughout pregnancy.

This generic study will be initiated to maintain the SPD sample bank.

Primary Outcome Measures:
Collection of early pregnancy urine samples. [ Time Frame: 60 days ] [ Designated as safety issue: No ]
Volunteers who become pregnant during the study will continue to collect daily urine samples until day 60 of the conception cycle.

The only gross part is you need to store the urine samples in fridge and post 14 samples at a time

I still haven't mentioned the samples in the fridge thing to OH!
