I quite like this idea of having a cycle buddy! Im due on this saturday. Anyone wanting to be my cycle buddy? PM me :happydance:
xx

I started AF on Saturday and would love a cycle buddy! I can't seem to find anybody...

Hello I'm new here, and AF came for me on Saturday also. Can I join you two?

Absolutley! I'm brand new too, and so far not having much luck finding anybody to talk to. Glad you're here! We started the exact same day, to boot! :happydance:

This is my last cycle to try, (Husband is going to Iraq) so hopefully we'll have some good luck!

Wow, sorry to hear that he's going to Iraq.

This is my first month to try. I had an ectopic pregnancy in April. I had found out that i was pregnant (I had gone to the doctor because I was bleeding and thought it was my period but it was still on after 2 weeks.) and the next day i had fainted in the grocery store and was rushed to the hospital. I ended up having emergency surgery and my tube had burst.

How long have you been trying? Any good advice?

Oh my goodness!!! I'm so sorry to hear about that. Ectopic pregnancies are such a scary phenomenon. Have they discussed your chances of pregnancy after such a thing?

I'm not as obsessive as some women when it comes down to trying. That's not to say that all the charting and whatnot is not useful, because it certainly is. At one point, we had to do all of that. (Before our first) We tried for several years to no avail, and finally had to see a specialist. It turned out to be something VERY minor and we conceived naturally the next month.
This time we've been undecided as to whether or not to try since he was leaving and being such an indecisive woman, I waited until the last minute to make up my mind. Lol. We've tried off and on the last few months, not really paying much attention. This cycle I'm going to get an OPK, watch for the signs and have a go and see what happens. I really hope it works because we'll not get another chance!

 Yeah, that last pregnancy was very scary, the doctors were going to give me blood transfusions but it turned out that they needed to. She said that I was lucky I survived it.

I said that if i had another loss then that's it. So, I felt I needed to try one last time to give my daughter a sibling.

I plan to get a OPK this month also. I checked the O calendars and they all say i'll O around week of the 10th, but i'll check for the CM too. I started taking folic acid tonight.

Are you worried about being pregnant while your husband's away? I'm sure you have prepared yourself for that though.

Well Good luck buddy, I hope this our month!:happydance:

I'm terrified of being pregnant while my husband is away! That's what took me so long to make up my mind, and now it's a little too late.:dohh: My son is 3 1/2, and we never thought we have the kids so far apart, but there's little you can do when you live the military lifestyle. I'm just hoping and praying that we don't have secondary infertility.

As I said, we only have this cycle, so I'll do what I can. Going to watch CM get the OPK, have a little fun.... :happydance:
We'll see!!

Its funny you mention how you didn't want children that far apart. I'm the same way, but i've had a lot of problems along the way. My daughter is 7 years old right now and will be 8 in January. Its hard for me to grasp the idea of having kids so far apart. My sisters and I are 9 and 10 years apart and I hate it.
:bfp: to us this month :happydance::happydance:

I sure hope :bfp: is in our immediate future! It's such a long shot for me, that I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. I'll just enjoy my husband for the last few precious weeks we have together.
I'll keep an eye on you, though. You know that you can conceive, so that's a huge plus for you! It's only a matter of when.
I'm not sure that we can conceive and I didn't want to go see a specialist and make things so technical right before he leaves.

I'm so excited for you. I can't wait until you post happy baby news!

My sister just had her 4th child this morning. At least if I'm not lucky there is another little one in the family. Will your husband be here for Thanksgiving?

Last day of AF for me,:happydance:

And so our journey begins.

Fourth? Sounds like my sister. She's had them all back to back with no complications at all. She doesn't even realize she's pregnant most of the time. Isn't it weird the way things work out?
AF has been strange for me. It stopped completely for 2 days and came back this morning. Blah. Just get it over with!
My husband will get a chance to come home for Thanksgiving. We're not sure for how long, but at least I'll get to see him. When he leaves in a few weeks, he's just beginning his training, so luckily he'll still be within somewhat of a commuting distance. Same for Christmas day, too!

Let me know how it goes with the OPK. I've never done those before. Can't wait!

I think I will try to temp this cycle. I'm reading up on it since I've never done it before. Have you? Then I'll use the OPK to confirm my O when i think my temp is up. I guess that's how everyone else does it.

When your husband comes home on holidays are you going to still try during that time or wait until he's finished his duty?

I have, actually. Make sure you get a themometer that can detect basal body temperature. Take your temperature first thing in the morning, and try not to move. Put your chart and themometer right next to your bed so that you only have to move your hand to get it. Record your temp at the same time every day, too. I would set your alarm, and temp at that time every morning, before doing anythinge else. Too much movement or even talking can affect the temp.
It's actually quite helpful, just a pain in the butt for me.:dohh:
One month of charting won't tell you too much, because you won't know your trend. By next month, if you haven't fallen preggo, it will become very useful because you will start to see a pattern.
I had to do six months of it when we were seeing a fertility specialist. That's why we're not taking things that route right now. If we don't get pregnant before he goes, then we'll just patiently wait until he returns and see a specialist then. Don't want anymore stress right now!
As far as the holidays, he will only be home for a few days, family will be all over the house, and I will haved OV'd before the week before. :sad2: I wish we could try, but I don't see that it's possible!!
Let me know how temping goes!

Yeah this morning, I didn't remember until I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth. Although I left the themometer and the chart next to the bed. I can see now that its going to be hard for me to remember.

Hope you have a good day.

Sorry- I had a scare and had to go to the ER. Something simple, but had to be taken care of.

Have you been using the OPK? I got a pack of 7 sticks and have tested 3 times. The test line still seems a bit lighter than the control, but it's so difficult to tell! I guess today would be CD9? Maybe we'll just start trying tomorrow just to get in as much as we can.
How are things with you honey?

I hope you feel better.
I haven't started using the OPK yet, I think I’ll start tomorrow or Wednesday. Temping is not working for me, I keep forgetting to do it before I get up. When I looked at my o calendar it predicted Nov. 12-17 and the
15th-17th being the most fertile times.

I think I’m driving myself and my husband crazy with all the baby talk already. It would be so nice to have an early Christmas Present this year. I know how long I could actively try each month, the dissapointment each month would drive me crazy. So, i'm Xing my fingers for this month.

Hi girls

:witch: got me today so I'm a bit behind you but would love to join in....

:hugs:

sure welcome:happydance:, its funny because I log into another site with the name Mrs G, that's funny.

Spooky!!

So how's the first few days been for you all?

I'm planning a trip to Boots for OPK's. Does anyone else use them?

:hugs:
