Sorry to hear that you are out of the game this month Twinks.Get your AF out of the way and prepare for next month.I do understand your frustration with TTC the second time around,we are led to believe it will be easy,and it really isnt as sometimes our bodies and cycles seem to change after having #1.
If you are concerned i would go to the docs,i hate that we are all afraid of getting laughed out of the surgery.When i was trying with DD i told them we had been TTC for over a year so they started sending me off for blood tests and scans etc,maybe do that,as it will make you feel better and that way if there are any probs you will find out sooner rather than later.
Fleur- so sorry to hear the sad news,i cannot imagine how awful that must be.

Fleur I really hope your friend gets a second opinion...I have heard so many people told their baby will never survive but grow up to be fine...Have they taken the special tests, blood tests, like Harmony?

Sorry you are out twinks. I really agree with all of castaways advice, we dtd every other day both times I've got a bfp so that seems to work for me. I start cd8 and keep going to a few days after a pos opk. Plus extra round the pos opk if possible. Good luck this cycle x

Castaway - no they didn't. Apparently it was fairly catastrophic things wrong with the heart that weren't possible to be fixed. I had the same thoughts as you re getting a second opinion, but my sil is very switched on and would question things like this, so the fact that they haven't implies that there is really nothing to question. I had a lovely email from my step brother responding to one I had sent - he said its the hardest thing they have ever done but there was basically no choice gutted for them.

Twinks, we too dtd every other/every third day. I hope af is less painful today anyway. A really good book I read first time around is the fertility bible - basically it says that everyone has a fertility type and there are various different things you can for yourself do to help yourself get preg. I don't know, I just quite liked the whole being able to do something to help ttc along - ie. eat certain foods, avoid different things etc etc anyway I hope you're ok and all the excitement over Xmas is making it less miserable this month

Aw bless u girls thanks so much for helping. We dtd every other day this month and the first peak. I got so many highs this month it was ridiculous lol! I got a high two days after I'd finished AF ha ha! The only thing I haven't done which we did the first time is we seem to keep (due to tiredness illness etc) missing dtd on the second peak day so shall give that a go this month. Definitely going to try all the tips- u girls are all fab! My weekend has started off in the best possible way with my sister engagement :-D and to top it off my cousins girlfriend is pregnant too so the whole family are just thrilled. Beyond happy for them all- a weekend of full on celeberations! :-D xx

How is everyone this week? Not Nic hope AF stayed away for u over the weekend and fingers crossed for that BFP

I've been Christmas shopping today with lo and we had a fantastic time. A friend gave me a little life back pack and my lo is so happy to wear it. He walked loads around town and was thrilled to be out and about shopping. Usually he's in the buggy as he's a bit of a loose canon and loves to run a lot ;-)

Other than that cycle wise in cd5 and just waiting to get up to cd 13-14 again Any tips from you all with your first lo would be greatly appreciated I've even bought some opks to run alongside my cbfm this month as my monitor seemed a but wild last month I've got preseed ready to use again but just not sure I'm getting the timing right with dtd. Do you think every other high day and every peak day (on the monitor) sounds like I might cover all bases? Hope that works would love a Xmas BFP xx

Yes sounds great! Focus on the highs...once you peak you want the sperm there already

Hi all. No AF yet, but I tested tonight as I figured thinking about it was keeping AF away and I got a BFN. To be honest I was a bit worried I might be pregnant. I got a bit scared about the timings and doing it all again so soon. I don't know if we might put TTC'ing on hold. My oh is very keen but then he's not the one who has all the hard work to do and he's not that hands on really with one. We'll see what happens this week. Where are you Dogtanian?

How many dpo are you notnic? Might be too early for an evening test, maybe try a fmu if no af in a few days. Don't worry if you are pregnant Hun, I'm nervous too about doing it all again so soon, worried how ill cope with two. But you'll get there and your Los will be so close for being near in age they'll love it! There's never a right time. Hugs xxx

I feel sick.... Sorry i must sound like a Broken record!! I wasn't this tired last time, I'm exhausted! Hi girls!

Twinks, your plan sounds good to me. Ooh another thing I remembered - vary when you dtd if you can - ie morning or evening - up until our bfp this time we had done it 100% evening (the joys of having a toddler!!!) but this time peak day fell on a Saturday so managed to get in a cheeky nooner and I'm convinced that's when we caught the egg.

Notnic - yikes!!! Tell me about it! You will be fine either way though how many dpo are you? I had a bit of a meltdown at the wknd as dh was poorly with man flu (ffs!!) and my dd was being a terror - I was like - what have we done!!! But I know it will be fine. I don't think there is ever an easy or perfect time to go from 1 to 2!

Mrs w - oh no poor you! I've felt a bit better the last couple of days but my ms has always been patchy. Am 11 weeks tomorrow!! Scan booked for a week of Friday. Am terrified and excited in equal measure - I just hope there is a baby in there!

I hope your house viewings go ok mrs w - does that mean you are getting the house you loved?!!! X

Aw you'll cope Not Nic don't worry. I'm so keen to fall pregnant that I'm not focusing too much on the reality of a second baby ;-) ill be nervous as well as excited when I fall pregnant again. I'm very lucky tho in that I think ds is (so far) a very easy going toddler so I think a second would fit into the fold very well- I'd still be nervous tho

Mrs W I hope the morning sickness and tiredness ease up quickly for you. Not too much longer to go and u and Fleur will be out of first tri and will feel full of energy

Fleur 11 weeks already!! That's gone so quickly! The first scan is getting nearer and nearer :-D I remember feeling the same with ds I kept just hoping the scan picked up a baby it will hun

I started getting highs on CD8, but I O early. The monitor does not work if you have PCOS so that is a thought if you don't conceive in 6 months I would go to the doctor and let them know...

Your cycle is usually how long? Mine was 26 days, highs beginning around 8, Oing around CD10.

Ohh Castaway I never thought about that. My sister has pcos so I wonder if I do too. Shall give it a few more cycles trying and then might go to docs just to have a chat. I think if I dtd every other day maybe I might just catch a little bean. Shall bd lots this month and see if we can catch it. The monitor always says peak on cd13-14 but my cycle was only 26 days long this month so maybe I'm ov earlier thank I think. So hard to know. How are u Castaway? Has AF been and gone yet? Sorry to report I am STILL positive from the miscarriage, 7 weeks ago this Friday. It is never ending!

Haha no I haven't done Fleur. I just think I didn't ovulate. I seem to have more EWCM now (sorry for tmi) than I did when I would usually ovulate. Have no symptoms of anything either. We go away on Saturday so if AF doesn't appear maybe I'll test before then. I just don't feel pregnant. I'm either CD29 or CD31. I spotted for two days and I never know as my afs are quite light, if that's the 1st day or just spotting. Last time I ttc'd my cycles averaged 25-26 days with an 11 day LP so I would consider myself to be late now. Certainly late enough to show up on a test if I was.

Hey everyone.just checking in to see whats been happening.I hope this is it for you notnic.Mt cycles are also not the same from when i conceived my DD.
Castaway- so sorry to hear you are still testing positive,it must be so frustrating.
I would give the CBFM a go Twinks,you dont know that you have PCOS,it might work for you.
I got my blood results back and all my hormone tests were fine,testosterone fsh etc,so i dont have PCOS.But my cholesterol is very high and i appear to have a problem with my liver,its enlarged,so more tests needed.
I didnt ovulate according to my chart,then all of a sudden it tells me i ovulated on CD34! we did the deed 3 days before so prob no chance of catching that egg.
Soon as AF shows i am 100% getting a CBFM.Im just sick of staring at IC's not being sure if they are positive or not,and having absolutely no idea if OV is round the corner.It wasnt this hard with DD my cycles varied between 29-31 days,i dont even feel like i have a chance this time!

I am getting a blood test to be sure on Sat. I also made a specialist appt for the 15th of Jan. If pregnant they will follow me through with the baby anyway....I think it is residual hormones. I am never textbook I can tell you that!
