Anyone with endometriosis?

Hi there, yes I can totally relate! I'm sorry for what you've been through :-(

To be honest, I felt like I got very little support or help at all form doctors but felt good changes happening when I started seeing a great naturopath, did acupuncture and visceral manipulation. But honestly, I'm still surprised that we got pregnant! I had also quit my stressful job the month we got pregnant so I wonder if that also had something to do with it.

I wish there was a concrete formula I could give (wouldn't that be nice!) but I don't quite understand it myself. The best advice I can give it to take good care of yourself and to be as nice and forgiving as possible to yourself. This journey is hard! But, I do believe that is serves a purpose :)
Wishing you all the best<3 <3

Another endo sufferer here!

It's kind of interesting reading what everyone else has gone/ goes through with endo and the different ways of treating/coping with it.

I started my periods when I was 13. By the time I was 15 I was put on BC to control my periods because they were heavy, lasted 10 days, and I wasn't on a regular 28 day cycle.

When I was 19 I started to have random pains throughout the month in my pelvic area, extreme lower back pain before and during my period, and pain during sex.

After DH and I got married I went off the BC (at 22) to NTNP. My cycle was regular at 28 days, but my periods were still 10 days long.
Fast forward to now, I'm 27, my periods last 10 days, are extremely heavy for 2 of the 10 days then range from regular to heavy the other days, and I have horrendous cramps and back pain. I have prescription pain meds to take during the really bad days.

This past February I started to see a new OBGYN and he said he thought it was endo and he talked to me about the surgery. In March I had a laparoscopy done to remove the endo and he also checked "everything else" out while he was in there. My periods are still awful, but the pain during the month has ceased. So that is an upside I suppose.

The only thing that helps me is Pamprin Max, icy hot patches on my lower back, and gritting my teeth... And of course the prescribed med, but I try to not take that unless I'm in a ball on the floor.
