All go for starting chemo on Tuesday. Dreading it, but keen to get started to get this thing out of me as soon as possible.

E is thriving. He's getting measured and weighed today. Was meant to be done two weeks ago but with my health visitors holiday and all my hospital appointment and op etc it's been hard to get a time that suited us both. I'm looking forward to seeing how much he's grown in the last 8 weeks. He's almost filling his Chicco crib at 3mths and its meant to do them up to 6mths, he just seems so long.

Hope you ladies are all doing well and your lo's are thriving.

E at 14 weeks and 5 days now weights 7.38 kg (16.3 lbs). He's 63cm in length and his head measurement is 42.3cm. Health visitor thinks he's thriving, so one less thing to worry about. :)

I can't believe I now have a 4 month old?!

Hope everyone is doing well? Will catch up properly later x

Good luck with chemo bekah glad you can finally get it started and fight this beast!

Well I have a right screamer today anyone weaned yet? I started a couple months back with half a risk in his last bottle, helped him go all night well 8 hrs from last bottle , then this last few weeks started to give him a baby rice breakfast and today tried him with a dinner and pudding and water but he's not having a good day and wasn't impressed, I have a screamer today and twitching himself awake! So may hold off on the dinner he only had a few mouthfuls of dinner and water , back to making bottle don't want to upset his little tummy.

Hope all are well and baby's xx

Good luck with the treatment Bekah. I hope it goes smoothly for you.

Oldermummy, it could be the weaning that's upsetting him as it's a big change for their little bodies to process. Erica is one of the youngest in this group and I'm a fan of leaving weaning as close to 6 months as possible (partly because I love the simplicity of breastfeeding so want to delay the extra complication of meals) so I'll probably be behind everyone else on this topic, but I can say that Erica has her majorly off days. Yesterday was a great example. She didn't feed particularly well, she fought every single nap and bedtime and just generally screamed a lot, all for no obvious reason. She's had a much better day today though so it could just be one of those things for you and your little one. I hope he's feeling better tomorrow.

We're trying to hold off on weaning till 6 months too but we're struggling with her feeds at the moment. She's fighting the bottle, pushing it away, taking about an hour to drink 2-4 oz, if i'm lucky 5. HV's say probably teething and to try ibuprofen, offer water, teething granules, gels etc. I won't give water or drug her before each feed... that seems like crappy advice to me :nope:. I am running out of ideas though, second week of this fussiness!! She's waking in the night more aswell as a result. Hmm.

We're waiting till 6 months for weaning ... Defo not looking forward to it as it's messy business so happy to wait lol

If you don't mind me asking oldermummy, why did you start early? Just curious :flow:

We are having major issues with sleep throughout the day.. This boy does NOT sleep at all during the day, he'll literally sleep 5-10 mins max and his grumpy the whole day! He'll only sleep in the car and pushchair and that's why I get out of the house so much ... Really struggling watching him tired and upset. I mean what exactly could be stopping him from sleeping?!

First chemo went well on Tuesday. I'm cold capping and they got the timings wrong as started me before realised I needed an anti sickness tablet an hour before chemo to be administered.

I went to see a wig specialist yesterday. That went better than o expected. She's ordering a few styles along line of what I'm after for me in my colour so I can go back and make a decision on which id like.

Little Erik is still doing great and sleeping really well. He's having 7 6oz bottles a day. Is that right compared to others who are ff'ing?

Bekah I'm glad Chemo went well :hugs:

Babyjan Freya has been the same with napping this week. Tuesday she had absolutely no nap all day so went 8am-9pm. Yesterday she cat napped for about thirty minutes in total. Today she's currently sleeping and has been for about thirty minutes.

It's so bloody frustrating though!

Sorry to hear your news bekah! Hope chemo starts quickly for you xx

Cora-Lily is now 4 months old and just an awesome baby. She weighs around 13.5lbs. Shes a brilliant sleeper and mostly sleeps through the night. The past week shes learnt to roll both ways :)

And the big news for us is that we're expecting again :baby: very very unexpected but we're coming around to the idea! Cora will be around 11 months when this one is born.

Congratulations!

Miss my baby bump too but don't miss the rest lol xx

Bekka I'm glad Tuesday went well, but sorry it makes you feel sick. Praying everything goes smoothly for you!

Hey ladies! How are you and babies all doing?

Some of our babies are nearing 5 months so I thought I'd say hello and check in :)

My LO is so energetic and is forever trying to sit and stand up! I don't think he'll be using the bouncer for much longer as his always sitting up in it lol,. Does anyone else's baby do this? I don't want it to fall forward with him init (happened with my first when he started sitting up)

His at the age now where he gets easily distracted when nursing, he wants to know what's going on around him and his super excited when he sees his brother. You can just tell he wants to run around after him lol.

His quiet long so outgrowing 3-6 months sleepsuits and vests. Most other stuff fits in 3-6 but his defo gonna need some 6-9 month stuff ..

Poor guy has really bad eczema and doesn't sleep well during the day. His currently scratching himself as he falls asleep. Not sure what else to do because he scratches himself really bad and makes himself bleed :( gonna have to take him back to see gp.

We haven't started solids yet but gonna get prepared. Also gonna be reading up recipes in my Annabel Karmel book I ordered.

Looking forward to hearing from you all x

Naww he sounds like he's doing well ( apart from the itching! ) do you use things like goats milk soap/oat bath, fragrant free wash for the washing machine etc. My nephew had it so bad like you're saying he'd scratch himself till he bled was awful. My daughter has some on her face. And on the backs of her knees.
She was 5 months on the 9th! I feel like its going so fast, she tries to sit but just flops to the sides lol she also can't roll back to belly yet. She gets to her side then gives up :haha: shes also at the stage where she gets so distracted during a feed and gives me nip lash! We are still co sleeping which im hoping to get her in her own bed as soon as my 2 year olds big boy bed arrives. Hes using the cot as a toddler bed at the moment.

Nice to hear how the babies are doing :)

Freya is five months end of this week and is 11lbs 11oz. Still tiny but perfect. She tried to sit forward all the time, can roll when she wants to, can sleep through the night when it suits her. She pretty much does as she pleases :haha: we are still exclusively breastfeeding too. This is her -

Love hearing how you're all doing :)

Little E is 5 months old now. We're still little at just over 13lbs. She's still in some 0-3 month clothes, though mainly 3-6 months. She's average for length, so long and skinny.

She can sleep through but has started waking at 12 and 5:30 for feeds again the last few days.

She's determined to crawl and spends most of her time on her tummy thrashing around, lots of sky diving and grunting . She can commando crawl when on our bed so I can't leave her anywhere where she may fall off!

She's started baby porridge about mid morning but holding off on real food for a few more weeks. We'd like to do blw. She stole a piece of her brothers pita bread the other day and chewed and dropped that everywhere. Don't think she swallowed any though!

Gorgeous! Sounds like she will be crawling in no time at all! My bub is so lazy lol she can go backwards a little bit, but she can't roll back to tummy yet! She gets to her side then its too much effort so she rolls back to her back :haha: we are starting solids on the weekend and will also be doing blw just like we did with DS3 once she can sit un aided.

Decided to give the lil guy some baby porridge... Only one spoonful of Aptamil creamy porridge. He had it and enjoyed grabbing the spoon with me lol. Think I'm gonna give him that every morning.. I need to go ikea to get him a highchair and slowly start some vegetable and fruit purees on him.

Anyone else's baby roll all over the place? It's funny when I leave him on the floor and find him in a completely different side of the room.

hows everyone else doing?
