April Mummies 2011

omg ouch, can't believe your all considering dtd! i'm sooo not ready to do that for a long time yet, downstairs is a long way off being recovered :(

why is it that i am jealous of those who are still pregnant? i want to go relive my labor and birth all over again. i really want to spend those 4 days in the hospital again and am jealous of those who are in l&d now. is something wrong with me?

Not only has poor little Aaron had milk spraying in his face several times after he pulls off, but he sprayed himself with pee when I was changing him:dohh: I was holding his feet up with one hard and wiping his bum with the other and because of the angle I was holding him when he started peeing it was aimed right at his face. I felt so bad:nope:

So right after that I went and bought Pee pee Teepees. Not sure if they sell them in the UK, but they would be easy to make. They don't stop them from peeing, but it does keep them from spraying everywhere. Aaron has a bad diaper rash, so I have been using the teepees and sitting him on a towel to let his poor bum get some air.

get yourself some butt paste, works awesome and is only a couple bucks at walmart. had abbys butt rash cured in a day. also, if you're using disposables, use the pampers snugglers. they keep everything away from your lo's bum and shouldn't have any problems with diaper rash after using them.

Is butt paste the same as zinc oxide cream? If so I have tried it and it actually made the rash worse :( I have tried not using wipes just warm water, powder, Penaten protection cream, nothing seems to be working:nope: I feel so bad for him.

Thanks, I will have to try to find it here, if not order some online. I'm willing to try anything.

I'm losing it tonight. DH keeps wakin Rosie up and she hasn't napped all afternoon (maybe 10 mins here and there). He says we'ree gonna start feeding her fruit baby food bc her tummy needs to get used to it and I'm so fucking stressed. I finally got her to sleep and he tossed his boots off the bed and they BANGed really loud and woke her up and she's crying and my dogs have run away again and I'm afraid of them getting shot.

Well, I finally made it over here. For those who missed it, Miss Anberlin was born, finally, 7 days late on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 7:15am after a 4 hour and 45 minute labour. The birth story link is posted in the Pregnancy Sweetpeas thread.

As for sex...I'm not even thinking about it yet. It's only been 16 hours. I'm not crazy enough.

Dana I feel the same, I thought it was just me but I'm jealous of the pregnant ladies. I actually enjoyed labour just not the emergency section. But I miss everyrhing else and all the attention I received whilst pregnant.

Missfox hope your ok. Big hugs.

Sorry to hear youre stressed sam :hugs: I gave a similar issue with DF trying to give toby stuff he can't have, only with us it's hayfever pills... Just have to keep saying no.

Toby did well last night... He usually has a bottle every 3hrs like clockwork. He had one at 12, was settled by 1am then slept 3 whole hours until 4am when he woke up for another feed!
Getting really annoyed with sma comfort milk... It's so thick it's blocking the bottle teats! Toby will sit there and try to drink but nothing cones out. It just makes him tired before hes finished and makes him niggly.

She is far too young for baby food, plus I have always been told when they do start baby food to give veggies first. Fruit is sweet so if you start with it they wont like the taste of veggies.

So sorry about your dogs:hugs: I would send OH out looking for them, then not only will someone be out looking for them, it would be quiet for Rosie to sleep.

Thanks girls. Finally got Rosie down but now its after 2am and the dogs aren't back. We drove a little ways down the mountain but its all gated private property. Once you get half way down to the river its cattle land and sheep too so not good. My ribs hurt so bad! The bottom one on the right feels very similar to how it did at 25 weeks pregnant. IDK what it is.
Dana- he gets pissed and I just keep saying no. Then he wonders why I'm so bitchy!
He definitely needs to come to the dr with me!

Hi ladies hope you are all ok? For those of you that have sleep issues with your babies, Im the queen of sleep deprivation lol - DS didn't sleep thru until 14 months old so I can sympathise fully. He was one of those ones that refused to nap/sleep in pram/sleep at all! Some babies are more "high needs" than others and are bloody hard work. If you google "DR sears" he does some great books and advice that reallly helped me in the early days. It's all too easy to blame yourself (and for others to blame you!) for bad sleeping habits, when it generally is because of their personality! :hugs:

I'm having a right mare at the moment, OH wasn't meant to be going back to work till the end of may (self emplyed and just had an operation) and we've been told that they've stopped his ESA payments. So now he's back to work already, so I've been chucked in at the deep end! I'm BFing and topping up all her feeds with bottles (bloody nightmare!) and trying to look after my DS who has decided scaling the kitchen table whilst I feed is the way forward. Yesterday he emptied a pot of pepper on himself, emptied the washing machine and somehow unlocked the under sink cupboards by himself and walk in to me with a bottle of flash!!?

Flo has been a little star, feeding every 2/3 hours in the day, then 3/4 hours at night. She sleeps in her basket no problem and is so content when she's awake unless she has wind or is a bit sickly. I'm well aware that this won't last tho!

hope you're all ok xxx

Congrats Brandi! :D x

Hope you're ok MissFox, xx

Ahh been to the solicitor today and now I feel fantastic!
Its going to cost FOB at least 700 quid to go to court and stuff so I doubt he'll do that. Unless he goes to court then he has zero rights or parental responsibilities.
So that means I can make ALL decisions in Ollies life and he doesnt get a say! :D
(Sounds bitchy lol... but if he had his way he'd go against every decision I make in order to piss me off without taking into account whats best for Ollie)
Also, been advised to phone the police straight away if he turns up at my house unannounced or if he turns up and causes trouble.
If he carries on the way he has been doing then I have the right to get him done for harassment!
So things are definately looking up in that department! :D

And Ollie has gained 80 grams since Monday so yay for Ollie!

It really is one thing after the other for us here  Rex only gained 20g in his weigh in today. MW wasn't too concerned though so we've now got a full week to get his weight up. But at her visit she noticed he had mastitis. Apparently from the hormones I passed to him during pregnancy & labour  It's not red & he doesn't have a temp so just have to keep an eye on it. She also reckons that his jaundice isn't getting much better. We think it's loads better. You can only really notice it in his eyes now. So if that hasn't gone by her visit next Thurs we have to be referred to hosp. She said it's prob just cos he's BFing but could signal an infection or liver problem. Feel like it's all my fault  x

My mobi wrap arrived yesterday, didn't get on with it very well though. LO wouldn't settle for long and I wasn't comfortable. Tried again today and LO has been happily sleeping for two hours now and I've got both my hands free. I LOVE THIS THING!!! :happydance:

Sazzle I know how you feel! We're having a bit of a roller coaster !
Eva had another trip to hospital by ambulance on Tuesday as she was sick and choked with her breathng going funny and In distress- luckily after being given oxygen she recovered but we were kept in *to make sure she ok - gave us a real fright!
They also concerned that she's still not gaining enough weight and wanted to top up with formula but it's made her really sick and made her reflux really bad and painful - so I'm a bit all over the place just now!
