I was tempted to sleep on the sofa and let Toby sleep on his playmat last night... He sleeps better on that for some reason, but I want him to get used to the basket.

Discovered this morning that he had a rock solid poo which was disturbing his sleep last night. Once he passed that, he had a huge normal poop and passed sooo much gas, no wonder he wouldn't settle!
We're going for a walk later so I'm taking some water with me so he doesn't dehydrate and get constipated again, bless him

Sounds like we are all in the same boat what with gassy fussy babies who hate their baskets!! My lo just growls and groans with gas as soon as she's in basket. I literally have to wind her before during and after a feed and even then she takes a good hour. She sleeps better on her side, next to me in bed, which I'm bit a fan of but like my health visitor said today, breastfeeding babies sometimes is easier when sharing a bed etc. As long as you're not intoxicated, which I highly doubt we'd have time to even enjoy a glass of wine! Let alone get pissed and pass out :doh:

Amelia passed the hearing test, and her head has grown in circumference by 1.5 cm lol! Weight is up to 8 lb 1 oz and she's feeding well, I'm jus sick of breast pad bulk buying and leaking everywhere. Argh! I feel like a dairy cow
I hear her now so gotta go and feed, been trying to getoutof house since 10am and still haven't got anywhere! Jake decided to trash every room and just drew on the wall whilst Amelia left me a blow-out explosive nappy as a present. Joy!

Rex has put on another 100g. Phew! I'm 'allowed' not to express any extra til next weigh in on Thursday & see if his weight still goes up. His weight loss is now at 4.6%.

Had a horrible night. He wouldn't settle til 2am, slept for 2 hours, was up for 2 hours with 2 feeds, then slept for another 2 hours. Soooo tired & it's my first day on my own today. Managed to get us both dressed but that's about it! I can't see us ever leaving the house just the 2 of us at this rate! How do you do it?! Worrying about getting to docs on time for post-natal check up already! x

i went to abby's 2 week yesterday in pj's. most ppl don't look twice once they see how tiny she is. mother's understand.

Have had the most awful week, feeding has been a real trial and sleep has practically non-existent. LO has been pretty much permanently latched on and is never satisfied plus my left nipple is still so sore. She also still won't go down on her own either although I discovered today that I can put her in her bouncer when I'm in the shower as the sound of running water seems to keep her calm for a little while. Left the shower on after I was done so I could do a few bits round the house! Took her for weigh in at lunch and although she is putting on it's incredibly slow, was telling them about the problems I was having feeding so they told me to get to a breastfeeding support group asap. Just got back from one and I think I may finally be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel, will be going every week to make sure we stay on the right track and also have the lady's mobile number in case things go wrong.

Also have a gassy, fussy baby here too, must be something about April babies!

My baby actually isnt too bad with wind. He seems to get it up easy enough. Always has a smug little look planted on his face after doing big farts haha!

Ollie is FINALLY registered! Yaaay!
Decided to fuck FOBs surname off and just have mine, and also not named him on the BC.
I actually got advised to do this by citizens advice so yeah. FOB wont really have any parental rights now.
Solicitor on Thursday so hopefully things will go my way there! I have plenty of proof that FOB is harrassing us and isnt really interested in anyone/thing but himself and all this pretending to be a doting father is just a big act.

Gertrude, how long has it taken pickle to get back to birth weight? Rex still has 180g to go & MWs are on my back! He'd gained 100g in 2 days today so hopefully he could do it by the weekend.

Those with boys, any tips for stopping them seeing everywhere at nappy changes?! I'm getting sick of me, the carpet, the changing mat & his clothes getting soaked! Keeping a kitchen roll in the change bag now! x

She has taken a while tbh - we're doing top ups (although I haven't increased the amount of top up since we started so proportionally it's decreased) and lots of boob

she did 130g in 2 days, 110g in 3 days, 30g in 3 days then 100g in 3 days she initially lost 11.4% of birth weight, then lost a little bit more (30g) but I think that was a different set of scales reporting a loss when there wasnt one

When Jake was little, and peeing everywhere, I used to throw a wipe on top of his penis when cleaning him up LOL! Didin;t always work but stopped him catching me! Mind, Amelia still manages to wee over everything during nappy changes, so nothing new there!

Please tell me I am not the only Mummy whose baby got sprayed right in the eye by their milk!?! I shouldn't laugh but Amelia, for some odd reason, pulled off just as my milk was letting down, I usually feel this as a strong tingling but didn't this time round, so never noticed until she started screaming! I actually thought it was a piece of cotton connected to me from her babygrow - so stupid!

Agh I got a phonecall today from my Dentist to go back in and finish off a temporary root canal they had to perform whilst I was pregnant. They couldnt do an x-ray at the time, but I have huge problems with it as I think there may be an infected root which wasn;t removed therefore I have an abscess in my gum. Nice.

Rosie is gassy too! I think it has to do with how much milk comes out at first.
Also BIG to all of you not getting sleep.
Latch problems- are you trying different positions? Its a pain but I use the football hold on the right side most of the time. Its the only way Rose will latch right sometimes.
I've got her in the face a few times with milk!
So happy today. Its finally warming up here! AND Rosie slept from 10pm til 5am last night then 5:30a to 8:45am! I can only hope tonight is similar!

Does anyone know if doctors will prescribe the pill before the 6 week checkup? I know I shouldn't be but I am so ready to start having sex again.... I'm sick of giving him trouser kisses all the time!! (Please don't judge me lol)

Not sure cottles. I have got a prescription for the depo injection but cant get it until i have my first period.TMI but We did it about 2 weeks after they were born, i had no stitches or anything and felt totally normal down there so have been using condoms ever since xx

Thanks girls! DH and I haven't dtd yet but 3 more weeka probably won't happen so I like knowing I wouldn't be alone in not making it 6 weeks. I'm shooting on waiting as long as I can though

Yeah turns out I couldn't wait til 6 weeks either... And DF was just as eager as me this morning lol
5 weeks is long enough! I don't wanna waste time going to the doctors before my 6 week check (in 8 days) so condoms will have to do for now... We've got a few lying about!

Wasn't as painful as I expected either! In fact, if I didn't have what I think is a blocked gland/duct thing, there would have been no pain at all The blocked wotsit means I've got a little tender lump though which is what hurt a tiny bit. Hopefully the dr will take a look at that though.
