April Mummies 2011

ooh yay jen...wheres the update!?

is it bad i feel really relieved my house is baby free for a couple of hours? my mums taken him for a walk and might take him back to hers for a while as it looks like rain. Peace....i'm so getting my head down! x

Nothing wrong with that at all!!!!
YAY JEN :happydance: (she posteD on Facebook)

Congrats to Jen and a nice weight xxx

I have 4 sleeping children.... this NEVER happens! (not in the day anyway) lets see how long it lasts x

yay jen, congrats! :) x

poor grammar... typing with 1 hand feeding with other lol

lol yeah ive got a toby sleepinhg on me just now. he was on my chest but hes slid down and is now on my hands!! its taking me a while to type.

poor munchkin is still bunged up... having to use the nasal spray every few hours and he sounds horrible. it all gathers in his throat and wakes him up because he starts choking on it :(

so i'm not a huge fan of any of my in laws really, so why am i bummed when they don't ask us to participate in things or act like they don't like us too?

So happy for Jen! At last! Our babies span 3 whole months! March, April & May! x

Congrats Jen!!!

Dana, i think its only normal to feel that way. Even if you dont particularily like someone being excluded still hurts. :hugs:

Waiting for dh to get home so we can take Lizzie to dr. She's been spitting up all day after a feed. Sometimes quite a bit. She also has a rash on face, neck, and upper shoulders. Could be baby acne or allergy to detergent or something in my milk. Will update when we get home. She seems fine except for constant spitting up.

Hope Lizzie is ok!
Dana I am the same way! I think it has to do with trying to be civil and make it work then not being invited to something. Its like that for me anyways. MIL sucks b ut now that she doesn't talk to me when we pop in to let them see Rosie it bugs me. I try for DH but I don't even want to go in the house anymore

they don't even ask for us to bring over abby. whatever!

First off, hope all of you and your bundles of joy are doing as well as can be expected during this sleepiest of times.

Congratulations to Jen, were you officially our last?

Haven't really had much chance to update at all, as you can all appreciate :haha: I am very lucky. My little boy is doing very well considering the start he had (I will get around to writing my birth story at some point but I think the process of writing it all down may make me cry. Perhaps that is a good thing?) and I am doing OK now. I feel like I have Frankenstein's genitalia at the moment, with all the stitches, but the midwife assures me that despite some problems it seems to be healing OK now.

Even writing this far has made me very emotional and teary, so I'll stop. Just waiting for my wonderful man to drive home from a couple of days of meetings 250 miles away. I can't wait to see him. Genuinely don't know what I would have done without him. I clung to him the entire time I was giving birth and he was perfect, knew exactly what to do and say at every step. OK really crying now, will leave this until another time. Take care ladies :hugs:

Aww Amethyst, big hugs for you. Ive missed seeing you posting as much tbh! Hope everything is going well for you now and that you and LO are ok x

Ahh. Im going on a date on Saturday. Im so nervous lol. The guy is the ex I had before FOB and we were together for like 2 years then split for a silly reason. Then I went on the rebound and got preggo lol.
I just hope it goes well on Saturday. Im taking Ollie along with me haha! :)

Oh and I went and enrolled in college today. Have an interview with them in 2 weeks to secure my place!

Just goes to show life can still carry on well after having a baby! :)

All is good with Lizzie. We go back Fri for weight check just to make sure she's getting her food down but since she's already 9 lbs 7 oz they really aren't worried. Rash on face, neck and chest is baby acne and should go away in a few weeks. Nurse said as long as it's above breast line on baby then that's usually what it is. I've been putting breast milk on her face and it's much less red and angry looking than her shoulders and chest which i haven't put any on.

Amethyst, glad to hear you and LO are doing well. Look forward to reading your birth story when you're ready to write it down. So glad DH has been such a wonderful help.

fairly certain i'm not going back to work til abby's at least 1. thinking about going back to school for medical billing while i'm off. signed up for wic today too. feel like crap going on state aid but even if i was working we'd need extra help. i refuse to feel guilty...now, lets just hope i can go thru with it..

Gem, so proud of you for starting college, that is wonderful and quite the accomplishment with a new baby. Have fun on your date, you deserve a nice night out with a man who treats you right.

Dana, please don't feel bad about using wic. That's what programs like that exist for.

Hooray! Rex is now above his birth weight! 9lb 6oz. No wonder he'd stop fitting into his newborn sized clothes a few days ago! So we're discharged from midwife.

However, MW still reckons he's jaundiced. We don't at all. Even his eyes are back to white! So we have to go up to the hospital this afternoon to be assessed by a doctor. Just hope DH can leave work cos I can't face going on my own in case it is bad news like something wrong with his liver or an infection and not just due to BFing.

It's just one thing after an other  x
