Ohh don't you just love those perfect moments?
I just gave Toby his night feed and he went straight back to sleep in my arms. He snuggled up into such a position that I could wrap my arms around him and cuddle him so comfortably with my head down so I could smell that baby smell... I could've stayed like that for hours. So peaceful. I know he cries a lot and I get fed up but those moments are so precious... I love my little man so much.

Ahh cottles that is lovely!! Amelia fell asleep on me around 9.20 and she has been asleep in her basket since, but she is due soon so I'll feed her in bed, then prob co-sleep til the next feed, as OH works nights, so we get the bed alone until around 5am.

I actually kicked myself just now as I always complain about not sleeping, and I should sleep when she does but never do as she wakes up before long. So tonight I never did, and she has slept for a fair long time..damn, I shoulda gone to bed when she did!

Im wondering if Ollie is starting to teeth or just deciding to be a bit of a pain lol.
Everything that goes near him goes straight in his mouth an he slobbers everywhere! And when hes not chewing/sucking on something then he just screams the place down.
However he's only been like this today mainly with the screaming but the slobbering and everything going in his mouth has been happening a few days now.

Hes really knackered me out today!
Took him to Tesco and he screamed the whole way round the shop There was just no consoling him lol.
Then he fell asleep on the walk home.
But once I was home he started again an kept at it for a few hours and I tried everything... feeding, changing, playing, winding... etc. But nothing worked till he tired himself out not too long ago and went asleep
Any ideas what could be wrong with him?

Don't they tend to get unsettled during growth spurts? Could be that.
Hope you find a way to settle him soon!

does he have a dummy? i found both my two were like this, and were both sucky babies - if anything went near the mouth they would root and want to suck it! so if she is fed, etc i usually offer the dummy - doesn;t always want it but occasionally does. AS cottles says, it may be one of many growth spurts!

Well I've just finished the late feed and put her down , so HOPEfully she will sleep for a few hours so i can get some rest - DH is away with work so it's the first time I've had her overnight on my own since hospital...makes me feel quite nervous if anything were to happen!

Hope you ladies that are still up and about manage to get some sleep xx

Loopy- I was on antibiotics for 10 days. I didn't notice much of Rosie being more fussy- maybe one bad night of no sleep. She's usually a really content and happy baby- starting to scream and yell these days bc she's finding that she gets attention. IDK though- could be different reactions or different antibiotics? I think I was on keflex or something?
Gem- I was wondering about teething too bc Rosie has been a SLOBER MONSTER! And she has bit down a few times on my finger. She is a sucker though so I'm not sure

dh got frustrated with abby tonight which makes me just want to take her and leave. he complains about her kicking her legs or squirming or fussing with her hands. um, hello! she's 6 weeks old! seriously, he talked about finally being able to get sex and honestly until he figures out how to have more patience with her, i want nothing to do with the kid.

I'm in exactly the same boat Hayley. Nightmare isn't it! He's had a cold for 4 days now so hope it goes away soon. Can't get him to sleep in the day anyway other than on me or in his car seat if we're out & about. And getting him to settle in his basket is a battle on a night. He only really had one stretch of sleep last night so I'm knackered today! Need a nap so badly! x

Yeah hes got a dummy... He doesnt really like it though. He has this rattle thing that he prefers to have a munch on instead lol.

He slept from like 9:55pm till 3:50am last night! Then was only up 15 mins and went back down till quarter to 10 this morning
Both had a great sleep and hes alot less fussy today!
Going the baby club soon to get him weighed.

Awww Dana! Its so upsetting when someone (esp DH... Umm hello you did this with me!) Gets frustrated with the baby! I felt horrible the other day when I left Rosie with Ryan and he said she cried for an hour! He said he got frustrated when nothng setled her and he said he yelled at her. He felt so bad about it and just wanted to cuddle her the rest of the day.

Sooo caught DH looking at porn on his phone. we've had sex once and it hurt! AND I'm bleeding more agan and I think it might be AF? Yea. Feeling bad for my sexually frustrated DH

Nathan slept from 11.30 - 6am! Clever boy - although I feel more tired today than normal! Went to baby clinic today and he's now 11lb 8oz, staying between the 50th and 75th centile nicely! It reassuring as I cant see how much he eats on the boob

Sazzler poppie has had her cold for nearly 3 weeks just going now bless her because she was chesty she didnt like laying flat so we rolled a towel up and put it under her mattress in her basket it worked a treat and it helped at night made it easier for her to breath also she likes her rock chair as it vibrates but we ran out of batteries which I think is y she wouldnt settle anywhere but on my chest

sam he yells at her all.the.time. he gets frustrated so easily and then when i offer what i know works (i'm home all day every day, duh i know her better) he screams at me "i don't need you to teach me anything!". every time i try to talk to him he turns it around into something i did this one time at that one place or whatever, so now i just give up.

at this point, i don't care to ever have sex with him. nothing is more unattractive to me then a guy who acts the way he is.

I have to say, some of you don't half put up with some crap from your OH's!

In good news pickle is gaining nicely now - 12oz in 6 days I've got a chubster

Also managing to still do combi feeding which I'm pleased about - all the pressure is off me (she gets what she needs from the bottle, any BM is a bonus) and it's made all the difference - I'm sure for SO many women BFing is a pleasure, hard work but pleasurable - we never had the pleasurable bit!

She's having her afternoon nap now, she's sleeping a fair bit atm which I think is a growth spurt thing tbh as she's also upped what she eats at a feed so I think the two are related. I'm not complaining though, I like the quiet and I'm enjoying it whilst it lasts!

She seems to wake around 7ish then feeds, plays till 10, sleeps till 1, sometimes plays sometimes feeds till 4, plays till 7 and then sleeps - anyone else think that's a lot of sleeping for a 6 week old?

I would be the same dana. Men have less paitence than us women.

Gem and abz how do you get your LO's to sleep that long. George fell asleep at 11 till 2.45 then back to sleep at 3.30 till 6.15 and then asleep from 6.45 till 9. I'm sure his sleeping patterns could be a lot worse but it would be amazing if he could sleep a bit longer lol

The longest I've got Toby to sleep so far is from 11pm til 4:30pm... wish i knew how i managed it because he's started only sleeping for 4 hours overnight before waking for another bottle.

So lucky girls! I barely get an hour between feeds at the mo!!! My son was opposite so this is a bit if a shock to the system!!!
