April Mummies 2011

CrazyBird -Ollie tends to be awake nearly all day so I think hes just too tired to be assed waking up in the night haha. He has about 10 bottles in the day too since hes fed on demand so he's probably bloaty by night time too.

I wouldnt know if being induced is more painful or not than a fully natural birth since Ive only ever been induced and dont plan on ever having another baby xD
Tbh though, I didnt think labour was as bad as I was told it was going to be... the afterpains where worse for me!
(Stingy when peeing :| Ouchh)
I went through my labour on just 2 paracetamol and about 3 or 4 puffs of gas and air. :)

Dana - Big hugs for you. They sound like assholes! x

Cheese Lover -Hello and welcome to the thread :) Hope your finding the forums helpful ^_^ x

Ahhh Ollie wont go to sleep atm lol. Hes been awake since 8am. I just cant settle him. He slept all night but now it seems he just wants to play aaaaaaaall day.
He keeps crying alot too and I try everything but nothing soothes him. :/
Thinking maybe hes slightly constipated or something... he hasnt pooed since not yesterday but the day before.

abby hasn't pooped for a little over a day either, tho i hear once they get "older" that tends to happen.

happy 6 week birthday to my beautiful baby girl. looking at her, i know my purpose in life and the reason i met my dh, was to be her mom. my heart explodes with love for this little girl. :cloud9:

Aww bless Dana thats so sweet ^_^

Ollie is 7 weeks old tomorrow... Where has that time gone at all?!
All the sweet peas will be heading off to school and whatnot before we know it!

i know mine will be 11 weeks on Saturday x

Hi chesse lover

Gem that must be why Ollie sleeps all night if he has 10 bottles in the day. George has 7 bottles in 24 hours.
George only woke once in the night, put him in his basket at 10.30 after his feed and then he slept till 3 had a feed then woke at 7. Then he decided to go to sleep at 8.30 till 10.30 so I joined him :) I think it might have helped putting him in his sleeping bag.

its horrible to thibk how quickly the weeks are going and our LO's are getting bigger, they change so much. I got a bit emotional the other day because I said to OH that George is looking so much bigger and changing loads, he said don't worry he won't be moving out just yet lol.

hey ladies, oh man i've had a terrible terrible day, LO just keeps crying, he's had 20min nap since about 6am this morning. He's breaking me

Oh Caro, hang in there! You can get through it :hugs:

Hi cheese lover! Welcome to the thread! x

Thanks for the welcomes!

Caro, I hope he gets more settled for you soon!

2ndtimeAbz, I was so glad that my parents could come out shortly after Isis was born but they won't see her again until August. They live ~2000 miles away. DH's family is closer, about 6 hours away.

I've heard that inductions are more painful. My SIL had pitocin to help her second labor and told me to avoid it if I can. I was able to labor without augmentation which made me happy.

As much as I want to go back to work and have more adult time, I'm still kinda sad that the end of my leave is coming up so soon (3 weeks). I'm very apprehensive about my work schedule and pumping. The month of June is very slow at my work but July is crazy. I'll be in a corn field for much of July and maybe some of August. I'm imagining myself pumping milk in a corn field or a pickup truck for at least a month. Her daycare is less than a mile from work so I'm also going to try to BF her during lunch. Luckily my employer and manager are very supportive of BF'ing. I think I'm going to block out my pumping times on my Outlook calendar so fewer people will plan a meeting during that time. anyone else dealing with this?

hang in there caro :hugs:

well we're having to go back to using infant gaviscon! she's just too sicky without it :( my poor OH got coated in puke this afternoon :haha:

thinking of trying her with colief too as she seems to have colicy symptoms - especially pulling her knees up to her chest when she's asleep, which of course wakes her up too!

Being a baby must seriously suck!

i finally caught a smile on camera! she moves her head to emphasis her smile, so i didn't get it straight on, but you get the point.

So cute Dana! I haven't been able to catch the smile picture yet. She's too intrigued by the camera. I did catch her rolling from belly to back in photos for DH to see.

Aww Caro, big hugs for you hun. I know what its like to have them awake all day! Hang in there he'll sleep sooner or later :) x

Dana, thats a beautiful pic! :D x

OK I am risking sounding dense here - but you know on here they have the buy and sell section? People obviously pay via paypal but how? Do you private message each other email addresses or something? Is that how it works?

I could sell quite a bit via here rather than ebay, but just wanted to understand the ins and outs before doing so!?

I have Medela nipple shields here, unopened amongst other things like newborn clothes etc Even maternity wear. So I may do that when I have bloody time!!!!

Dana that's a lovely pic! I managed a half smiley one yesterday :D

Jakes, yeah once you've signed up to paypal you only need the sellers email address to send them money... Very handy! I use it for everything I can. A lot of websites accept paypal now... Including dominos pizza which is dangerous - now I don't even need to leave the sofa to get my debit card to order pizza! :haha:

Tiny dude has fallen asleep on me. He wouldn't settle after his 9pm bottle so I brought him into bed, snuggled up and now I don't want to move him! He looks so peaceful and lovely...

awww! we all made such cute april sweet peas didn't we?

ah thankyou/! I thought that was the case but never too sure!

Amelia went into her bed at 9.20pm and I haven't heard a peep although as soon as I go in the room, she will wake - SUCH a light sleeper!! I am TIRED. Finding it all really hard at the moment, but know it will get easier.

I had forgotten about this picture. Apparently I do have a picture of Isis smiling.

Aww yes we did!!

Tobys in bed with metonight... For now anyway. Perhaps not all night.
His hayfever is so bad. We've used saline spray and baby olbas oil but he is still so gunky, his nose and throat are backing up and he's coughing and spluttering to keep it clear. :( I'm keeping a close eye on him tonight.

Worst night ever. 6:25am and I haven't even considered sleep yet. My eyes are killing me, I'm coming down with something my throat is sore and swollen... But both Toby and DF are suffering from hayfever so I've been looking after my little man while my big man occasionally woke up to say "urgh I feel like im dying" before rolling over and going back to sleep.

I wish someone else could look after them just for an hour so I could get some sleep. :(
