April Mummies 2011

EVening ladies :) Hope you're all ok x

A quick question for you - have any of you left your LO asleep in their cot/crib etc and left them alone? I haven't yet and I think I feel its still too early but then I realised I hadn't actually got a clue so will ask you lot :D

I mean like leave them in the bedroom in their cot and you go to the living room etc

When Rex goes back to sleep after his breakfast feed I leave him in his basket whilst I get ready & have a shower. I just take the baby monitor with me. I
Also leave him for a shorter time during his afternoon sleep so I can make my lunch.

I think we're going to try him in his nursery next week too as he's getting too big for his basket. DH is on half term hols next week so we thought it'd be a good time to start a bedtime routine & try to get him to settle in his cot. It'll be strange not having him in our room but he needs more space, bless him! x

I leave George asleep in his swing whilst I have a shower and get dressed. I've only left him in his basket for half an hour in the evening and then I will go upstairs to bed as don't like leaving him for to long if I can't hear him, we need to set up the monitor and then I won't mind leaving him. Our bed time routine is bath at 9 and then feed and bed by 10.30 and the last few nights he has been waking up at 3 and then again at 7 which I don't think is to bad. I'm not sure if him going to bed at 10.30 is to late.

Mrs C that made me chuckle when you said you put your washing on without putting the liquid in the ball. Hope you manage to get lots of sleep soon. I feel fine if I have 6 hours a night.

Choco you'll find time to get on here more, I used to struggle the first few weeks to get anything done but its getting easier. I have even managed to start straightning my hair again as never had time before and used to just let it dry naturally and go wavy.

woohoo i had a good nights sleep!!! Ruby slept from 10-8 and Harley slept 10.30-6.30. Thing is though i feel even more tired today lol xxx

Not got time to catch up with you girlies sorry but just come online quickly to tell yous I might be inactive for a while.

Oliver was rushed into hopsital last night because he had severe dihorrea and then went limp and turned gray. Turned out he'd stopped breathing so we rushed him into hospital where he was resussatated.
He spent the night in high dependancy but has been moved to a normal ward now and will be there till at least monday because theyre still running tests on him to find the cause :/
I have never been so scared in my goddamn life. I just wish this bad luck would end soon!

Hope everyone is well. x

Oh Gem, that's awful to hear. I'm not surprised were scared. I hope they find out what's wrong & get him better soon. Sending you lots of :hugs: & get well soon wishes for Ollie. Take care xxx

That must be so scary. Hope he gets well soon :hugs:

Hi Lilly12!! :hi:

Big :hugs: to you Gem...I hope they find out what is wrong with your little man!!

Oh no Gem , hope you both get better soon. Huge hugs xxxx

Oh Gem take care of you and Ollie. Big hugs.

Hi Lilly

Tasha that's amazing how much your LO's slept. Hope they do the same tonight.

I doubt they will lol they usually wake twice each, im not used to sleep xx

abby has decided after 5 days of sleeping thru the night, that she would stop. back to waking up every 4 hours...so....tired...how do working girls do it?

also, has anyone else been finding themselves pulling away from their dh's since the baby? for some reason i've been finding that i just want nothing to do with him, probably cuz i'm not able to talk to him about the stresses, nor is he being very compassionate about how hard it is to stay at home with her.
i haven't even gone and picked up my birth control because i'm not even wanting to be with him at all. wish he would just let me talk to him without making it a "well you did this to me" match.

Omg gem!!! So scary!!! Ill be thinking of you both!

Dana- I was for a while.

oH Gem! That is so scary! I hope they figure out what's wrong!

Dana, I was at first but I've realized that DH handles LO different than I do.
He's not home with her all day every day. I was getting frustrated with him and it was causing problems with our closeness. I looked at the bigger picture and realize that he's just out of his element with a newborn.

I'm also worried about going back to work. Right now we don't start the day until 9:30. Work starts at 7. I'm going to be so sleep deprived!

Tasha, so happy for you! who knows you might get lucky again!

Isis slept from 10-4:45! I'm getting spoiled but it does cause problems with mt breasts. They've been getting quite large and hard during that time. I can't sleep on my tummy sometimes!

Gem, it sounds like you are having as tough a start to motherhood as your time in pregnancy, I am so sorry to hear Ollie is so poorly and am thinking of you both. I think it is amazing how well you have coped with everything espescially doing things on your own ( I hope this does not sound patronizing, I am totally sincere and amazed by you )
xxxx

George and I have had a lovely afternoon today, we had a little nap on the sofa together and then I put him into his pram so I could get some chores done. He is still asleep now hence me coming on to say hello.

x

seems like everyone is having luck loosing weight other than i. i lost all my preggy weight and then some. then gained back 7 lbs and it's not budging. my pants don't fit other than maternity. hate that my milk didn't come in more so i could be loosing as well as you other girls. the failure is just making me want to eat more.

i'm just morally not doing real well.

omg gem, hope olly's ok! how blooming scary :hugs:

dana :hugs: don't worry about a bit of weight, it'll fall off with time hun, especially when LO gets moving as you'll be forever chasing her around!

we've had another good day, for us a sort of routine is so helping! think before i was feeding him when actually he was tired, so adding to the gas in his tummy and the cycle was terrible! so now when i know he's fed and changed and he stops playing and gets fussy i just rock him until he sleeps
