April Mummies 2011

Morning ladies, I have not been on for a while. Hugs to all that need them.
Well I have decided to start weaning Daniel onto formula, I have to go back to work in 2 months and I don't think I will be able to express all his feeds plus I feel like I want my body back so just waiting for him to have a poo as he seems to wait 10 days each time and then going to slowly introduce. I feel sad in some ways but I think I have done well.

With regard to weaning I am just going to watch him he is a big boy having doubled his birth weight so would imagine in the next few months he will be on solids. What is baby led weaning, I was just going to introduce baby rice, then do the annabelle karmell puree etc?

Hey ladies sorry some of you are having a tough time.
Gertrude have you been to the doctor about the sickness? George is on Gaviscon for it becuase he stopped gaining weight, so far it seems to be really helping.
I left him all day yesterday and went and bought some nice clothes that fit me!

x
Yep we have gaviscon but it made her constipated and didn't really do much for the sickness :(

Gem very cute photo's of Ollie

Babybefore you have done very well to BF for 3 months, i think if i could of carried on BF'ing then i would stopped around 3-4 months.

Urgh George has been waking just before 7am the last few days, bit of a shock when he usually wakes between 8-8.30 and sometimes even 9am. What time does everyone elses baby wake for the day? I'm not sure whether to give him a dream feed as he goes to bed between 7 and 8 and then wakes once for a feed in the night. Hmm maybe he will go back to waking up a bit later again soon. I suppose waking at 7am isn't to bad lol

I wish I got a lie in til 8-9!
Toby is awake at 6:30 every morning. He'll sometimes play for an hour then sleep again for an hour, but if he does that he won't nap all morning.

Ollie tends to wake up about 8 (because if he doesnt wake up then I wake him up lol) had his bottle and goes back asleep till about 11. I have a really lazy baby xD
Then again once hes awake after that then hes awake practically all day besides the odd 10 min power nap.
He goes to bed at about 10 / 11 aswell and still sleeps right through :) some nights (like when his gums are playing up) hes too tired though and sleeps from about 9. He can easily get a good 12 hours some nights! :D

Daniel goes to bed about 7ish wakes up at about 1-2 in the morning and then sleeps through till about 6.30/7.

wow i'm so jealous! crazy, I'd LOVE Alex to wake at 7, lol! we had a REALLY good night last night, he went down at 9 and woke at 5! lol. By 6.15 i got him back to sleep but only till 7. Normally he's up a good 2-3 times still :dohh:, but he still needs long naps in the day or he gets real grouchy, so I guess I get a couple of hours usually to get stuff done or just relax :D xx

Wow! you guys have great sleepers! Isis used to be a good sleeper but for the past 2 weeks or so she has been going down around 8, wakes for feeds at 12-1, 2-3, 4-5, and then if it's a weekday I wake her around 6:30 if she's not already awake. On the weekends I bring her to our bed around 6-6:30 and then we'll co-sleep/nap and feed until 9 or sometimes until 11 depending on how bad the night was. I'm glad I'm BF since it only takes 10-15 minutes to get her back down.
Today I'm making the call to start the process to become a milk donor. Last week I overproduced 15 oz and that's by only pumping 3 times a day during the week. I could pump 2 more times after work if I needed more milk and I could add weekends. I have 5+ gallon size freezer bags with frozen milk bags. They only require you to donate 200oz so that would only take me a few months to reach.

Caleb has been sleeping through the night since about 4 or 5 weeks.... his usual schedule is night time feeding around 9:30 or 10 then he sleeps but starts to stir around 4 or 5 so he gets in bed with me and nurses and we fall back asleep till around 9 or 10

the reason I have been gone so long is I forgot my password and had gotten a new computer then my yahoo got hacked and I can't get on it either... finally got on my old computer and luckily had everything for this site saved and was able to get in and change everything so now I am back

Rosie is usually up for the day around. 9:30 or so unless I have something I need to get up and going for. She also is usually in bed by 9 and wakes one time in the 12 hrs. Last night though she was asleep by 8 and has woken a few times but only wants to eat and sleep. Yesterday and the day before (travelling home) must have really taken it out of her

Ollie us sooooo cute!
I wish I could pump that much milk!

So i shouldnt really complain at George waking for the day at 7am lol. Just a bit of a shock as i was used to him sleeping a bit longer.

wow good pumping! when i pumped i got loads extra too but now i've stopped it seemes t have regulated to what alex needs, how'd ypu go about donating?

good to have u back cami! xx

Isis had been sleeping from 8pm to 6am with waking only at 3 am but I think she's in the middle of a growth spurt. That's what I tell myself anyway! I had gotten so used to her sleeping.

Caro, I have to get my blood tested and go through a screening process. It's through the hospital that I delivered Isis at (the teaching hospital). I'm going there on Wednesday for PT so I figured I could get my blood drawn then.

Wow. A week away and lots to catch up on! I will update once I've read through everyones posts.

Hope all are ok anyway.

Welcome back Cami!
Caleb looks so handsome in your avatar thing! :)

thank you... He gets cuter everyday!!! of course I may be a little biased
