April Mummies 2011

Hi ladies!!

Sorry to hear of the sleeping woes. Miss Anberlin will be 3 months on Wednesday and she's been waking about an hour earlier lately. I hope it doesn't turn into an all night thing.

What about second-hand shops, Tasha? Have you looked there? We have a few of them here and there are always triple and quad strollers for sale. Toys R Us might have some side-by-side ones.

We had a rough day at work yesterday. I work in a group home for special needs adults and one of our residents passed away yesterday morning at age 35. He had the same condition (microcephaly) as my daughter. He was taken off his respirator at the hospital, took one breath and passed on.

Many people think that special needs adults don't feel emotion. When we told the residents' that their friend had passed on (they have a developmental age of babies), two of them cried.

I'm hoping today goes better for them.

Hope you ladies have a great day!!

yep looked averywhere you dont see many over here they are hard to come by xx

I wish you lived over here! My SIL works for a child care center in a rich area with many multiples. Her school has a sale twice a year and they have tons of equipment for multiples.

Joovy makes a couple triple strollers that are around $330...

That's great news, Gertrude!

I've been looking around for you, Tasha and so far I'm coming up with a blank. Will keep trying though, Hun. Worth phoning the hospital and seeing if they have numbers for multiple baby clubs? Surely someone has one!

Demi is too little for a buggy-board or something similar isn't she? Hmmm, will get my thinking cap on

My oldest turned 4 today!! Makes me sad at how fast she is growing up :(

Congrats Gertrude!!

I'll look for you too Tash! Out of the three of us we surely have to find something!

Congrats Gertrude!!!

Happy birthday to your daughter, Emmys! I saw a couple of pics on facebook - love the cake! She looks alot like you.

I'm not sure I know what to do with myself! Isis went to sleep in her swing around 6. DH is on the road this week so I put her in the swing so I could make dinner. I took her out of the swing assuming she'd wake up but she didn't so I put her in bed. She is still asleep! I'm hoping she stays asleep like last night.

Congrats Gertrude! Makes me sad, I won't be an Auntie again for a long time I think.

Happy Birthday Emma!

need some help...my period ended on 7-24 and now yesterday and today i've been loosing clots and when i wipe there's bright red blood. not enough to call a period, but enough to not call spotting. this wa my 2nd period and i got it exactly on the 20th in both june and july.
ideas?

not really, mine's been messed up too but I chalk that up to BF and that I shouldn't be having them anyway! I just finished my second period about that time too and it was a week late.

Anyone here gotten the Mirena? I'm seriously considering it but just read Brunette&Bubs got pregnant on it so I'm not so sure anymore. Midwife says it's as effective as getting tubes tied but I know I'm very fertile. I'm sure my body will find a way to get pregnant! I'm not sure how much longer DH will be willing to use abstinence as BC :haha:

My little one is being a monkey the last couple of days waking at 5 but not wanting a feed she is just wriggling in the bed I settle her back off and then 10mins later I'm bk up again re settling her whilst my oh is snoring away. It's so frustrating as I'm so tired from getting up and down! How is it that men sleep through anything ?!? Doubt he's even noticed that I'm laying on the sofa coz everytime I go to get bk into bed (which squeaks) Poppy disturbs and I have to start all over again!

Cheese I've been contemplating mirena or something. I don't want hormones but I also don't want plan b ever month if condoms break.

Congrats Gertrude! :)

Happy birthday to your daughter Emmys :)

Im on the good old pill for BC now!
My periods were messed up and stuff so hoping itll help with that too... I came on like 3 times last month :|
Was supposed to be taking Ollie to get a mummy and baby photoshoot today but I look like death so havent gone. Still not feeling too good at all.
Got an endoscopy this time next week though (ah scary D:) so hopefully Ill get some answers.

Ollie will be 4 months in 4 days! Ah how time flies :( My little boy is growing up too fast already.
Going to put him into his cot on his 4 month mark! ^_^ He STILL fits nicely in the moses basket xD with lots of room to wiggle!

I had one after Eliza. I know that it is wonderful for some people but it just doesn't work for some people. I, sadly, fell into the latter category.

First one the doctor fitted, she did it wrong and it 'rejected' (read fell out) that night. Second one we dealt with for about a year & a half and, far from it reducing bleeding, I was bleeding pretty much constantly, albeit very lightly, interspersed with very heavy painful periods. I just generally felt crap with it and when the second one 'rejected', very painfully, after that year and a half, I felt better almost immediately.

I know that a lot of people swear by it, so whilst my experience wasn't a good one, it can and does work for the majority, so don't let my experience put you off.

birth control is a pain!
i started on cerazette a month ago. i'm now on day 15 of AF. :dohh:

I skipped the birth control options and went straight for getting my tubes tied. HUGE FRIGGIN MISTAKE.

I am so bitchy all the time and uninterested in my husband. Between work and coming home, I just want to hit the sack, and I don't mean naked. I have absolutely NO DESIRE for sex, and we used to do it more than rabbits. We've had sex ONCE since Anberlin was born.

I am regretting my decision, BIG TIME, not because I want more kids but because my poor husband thinks I hate him, and I don't. This stupid thing has screwed me up horribly, which I was warned of by other people. Unfortunately, we don't have the $5000 to reverse.

My midwife was selling the Mirena hard (I brought it up). I am worried about the bleeding but I am willing to put in the time if it goes away. We're not wanting another for several years so it sounds like a good option. I'm like you MissFox, I don't want to use PlanB as BC when the condom breaks and I don't want to do hormonal BC because I'm pretty sensitive to it (read: bitch on most). We've been lucky and haven't had a condom break but it only takes once.
I wish there was a way to predict if Mirena was going to work for me. I'd hate to go through all that trouble to find out it didn't work.

Amethyst, were you BF? I ask because the midwife told me that if you're BF when you get it the bleeding should be less. I think that sounds like a load of crap especially since I'm BF and I've had 2 periods.
