:hugs: Loopy, i remember you saying last year about your parents. hope it gets sorted.

RiRi Glad you had a great time in Florida, i did a 2.5 hr plane journey with George and not sure i would have coped flying to America lol But then we did go with a cheap airline which makes it worse when flying with a baby as no room.

Hope all the poorly babies are feeling better now.

I lost another lb at weight watchers, so i have now lost half a stone in 3 weeks. I'm happy with that, hope i can keep it up :)

Gave Daniel a bit of baby rice today he loved it my book has arrived so going to read it tonight and start weaning. Anybody else got a really grumpy baby - he sleeps really well at night but refuses to nap in the day and I can't put him down where has my lovely happy baby gone - do you think it could be wonder week 26?

YES!! Aleena fought her naps SO hard for 5 days straight, ww 26 is aweful.
Thought i was going insane.
Shes almost back to normal again now.

SO CUTE! I really want to give Rosie some watermellon. She had so much fun with her banana this morning (she tried to shove the whole thing in her mouth). I almost fell over laughing at her but she spit out the big pieces. Ahhh babies and food. So fun to watch!!

Soo  Someone dumped out my half a stored container of milk that I left overnight in the fridge at work. I'm so bummed! I worked hard for that almost 4oz and was planning on giving it to FOB when he came this afternoon. That way we didn't have to take any extra milk out of the freezer. UGH! Hopefully it will all work out though (I'm sure it will). I want to leave work early today because I AM SICKY FACE! Yea- definitely first day of fall. I'm sick with a head cold and will be for the next 4 months. No more dairy for me

Thanks Lily you give me hope I am so exhausted. Miss Fox sorry about your milk!!

Rosie has been in it the last couple days also. YEsterday was the worst for me but the last 2 days she has been screaming at her dad for a couple hours. Nothing would make her stop and she wouldn't sleep for him. She's sleeping just fine at night though so I'm not too worried (bc he has her during the day  ) I wish I could jsut stay home wit h her though. I don't think she'd be so bummertime if I was home with her. She's also been calling me MIMM. Mostly when she's upset but it's always directed at me when she says it.

eugh think we're in ww26 too now, he;s been pretty horrible the last few days, possibly partly due to him being ill too but omg sooo grumpy! his sleeping at night has big time improved though, with only getting up once (*knocks on wood!).

Oh and the cheeky monkey refused a bottle tonight, which i defrosted earlier to get some milk to mix with his dinner as fil was around and i wasn't gonna sit in front of him and hand express straight into his bowl which is what i'd normally do! BUT he's not so smart, once he was latched onto me i slipped the bottle into his mouth and broke his latch on me and he carried on sucking :haha:...mummy won that one!!

RiRi a skycot sounds cool. I don't think they have them on ryanair flights lol. We had to lay George across our seats to get him to sleep.

so my sister in law (sort of, she's not married to my bil but will be having his second baby so close enough) is due on oct 13 and keeps talking about going in early. is it wrong that i could give a shit less? she's been such a mean ol **** her entire pregnancy and i'm just over her. hell, i'm over his own family.

*end rant*

Sorry Dana Bump family can be so testing.

I need help with weaning I have been reading my book and they work on the basis that LO has 5 bottles a day but Daniel only has 4 - how do your meals time out, do I still give him 70z bottles.

Thanks

My understanding is that you shouldn't decrease their milk intake until 6 months & milk should come before food until then too. Rex has food after his first, second & fourth BF of the day. So he had breakfast, early lunch & tea. HTH.

I'm not sure what to advice you..
Aleena is breastfed and breastfed babies don't need food until age 1.
Milk will come first until then because it has more nutritional intake / calories then any solid food.
I know that formula fed babies need solids earlier than that but I'm not sure how to go about doing so..

To answer your question babybefore, I used to give Jake his milk first then food. He would still have the whole 8oz before eating a meal!

So you could give his 7oz bottle at 7am but use some of that milk to make cereal, fornexample. You could give him breakfast an hour afterwards, say 8am? I usually gave it to Jake Straight after morning feed. Maybe a mid morning nap before his 11am bottle, then lunch after wards. Then what I'd do I'd just give him his 3pm bottle and dinner around 4.30/5.00pm and sad the last bottle fo before bed, when err that may be. As long as he has Over 21 oz milk a day, that houldnwork fine.

Obviously u can give or take an hour with most meals, as milk is still his priority, but I found having a routine worked best for us and even though I breastfeed Amelia, I'll be doing the exact same.
