April showers bring May BABIES!

OMG, I'm so excited for you! It sounds like you were just diluted yesterday. What kind of POS did you use? How are you feeling??!! Any sense of when you might have O'd and how far along you might be?

This is such exciting news! I'm so glad we're getting some good news on here!!!

DH got the job! They are trying to get him in the system before June 1st so that insurance kicks in 30 days sooner, but it just depends because he is finishing this week at FedEx. He starts the new job on Monday.

The first day of my last period was April 26th. no clue on ovulation as I didn't track or feel any cramps associated it with. So I'm 4wks and 6days today(obviously that's just going off my last period and not for sure since it hasn't been confirmed)... going to the clinic tomorrow so that they can confirm it and I can get paperwork started and set up a first trimester US.

It was a clear blue digital with the weeks predictor and the clinic said that if I test at home and bring the test in, they will count that as confirmation.

That's great! If I remember correctly, my CB digi remained lit for exactly 24 hours, so you may need to redo tomorrow. And congrats on the hubby's job!! Perfect timing!!

It was a faint line at the clinic, but they said a line is a line and counted it as a positive :) after the appt was over they said, usually their test do not show positive until 6 weeks (I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow). EDD is February 2nd for now. I have an appt back at the clinic for a free US at 10 weeks (July 8th), and they hooked me up with a few practices that will see me until my hubby's insurance kicks in. I'm nervous, overwhelmed, and happy!

Mostly, I am grateful to all of you ladies that have stuck by, followed my journey, and offered advise. I'd love to still keep in touch with you girls until you get your BFP. I know, jjbubbles you said you were supposed to be done with these forums, so I can give you my Facebook info or email if you'd like to keep in touch that way. Otherwise, I will keep checking back here.

Prachipie and Sunshine, how are you feeling?

Oh Khigg! That is so awesome that it was confirmed at the clinic (although I had no doubts!). Now waiting for that first US is such a killer...I remember being super anxious about the mc risk. This chart was pretty helpful, and you can see your risk going down each day. Hooray!

I've been good! Feeling good today! We should start a forum or something in the pregnancy forums...honestly, I haven't connected as much with the ladies over there. Every due date thread seems to have like 50 people on it, and it is hard to get to know people.

Oh I am so glad that they saw a positive. I have been thinking of you all day. I'm trying to stay off these forums so i don't obsess over every little non symptom. It depresses me more. You can definitely email me, [email protected]. I don't do Facebook. I will also stalk you on the pregnancy forums and hope to be there soon.....
We have bded now throughout this week and will continue through the weekend. You never know I might be there before you know it. :spermy:
Best of Luck girls :)

That sounds like a good idea. I stopped checking threads back in april except the ones you and I participated in. Just don't think about it! It really does start off symptomless at first. I didn't feel any weird cramping or boob tenderness. The only symptom was that AF never came.. Well and frequent urination and constipation (but I pee a lot anyways).

JJ, I totally understand. Taking a breather from all of this is sometimes exactly what you need for things to finally click into place.

Khigg, how've you been feeling?! Oh boy, get ready for some serious bloating and GI issues. The not so glamorous part of being preggers!

Prachipie, I've felt fine so far. When I woke up today to pee, I noticed I was bleeding. As quick as it started, it stopped. My liner has been clean all day. I went to medpoint (which is like an urgent care dr. Office that takes walk ins). They wouldn't see me and suggested I go to the ER. so I called my family doctor and talked to a nurse. She said it was completely normal and not to freak out. That 1 in 5 womn experience 1st trimester bleeding and as long as it isn't a period like flow for days with severe cramping, I'm fine. I wanted 2 HCG betas done (1 today and 1 in 2 days to make sure levels were rising), but she said that they would not do blood work.. I don't really understand it because my SIL goes to the same doctor and she's had 3 blood draws (she's only 2 weeks further along than me), but I was told to be patient and wait it out. So I'm keeping positive and praying. I'm already a natural worrier as it is, but we will see in a few weeks I guess! Hoping morning sickness kicks in soon because then I know levels are rising! Lol

How are you?!

Oh geez, what a scare today. But it does sound like first trimester spotting is fairly normal, so hopefully you'll have had one of day of it and it won't come back. I remember being so anxious the first couple of weeks and frustrated that you don't even see a doctor for so long. But I guess they just know there's not much they can do if something's not right anyway that they think it is best to wait to see if the bean sticks. But still, frustrating!!! Thinking positive thoughts for you, and sending up a prayer that everything is okay.

Have you told your sister or SIL yet?

I'm good, have an ultrasound on Friday...super excited to see the little guy again. Work has been super stressful lately, which is seriously not ideal...but at least I've had more energy to deal with it!

Hi girls! I have been thinking of you guys. I think about how I would be super nervous and knowing that you don't see a doc for so long would drive me nuts! Prachipie, so glad you're at the 12 week mark:) Having morning sickness?
Khigg, hows hubbys job?
We're fine. Counting down to Fathers Day. I have a huge BBQ and actually took off that weekend to enjoy. Will be testing that Monday if no AF. I asked my husband, what would be his first reaction if I was pregnant. I would be happy, scared, excited, sick. His response "relieved!" men are funny.
Any plans for your hubbys first Fathers Day?

The spotting stopped until 5pm and then the following 6 bathroom breaks, I had more. It's the color that freaks me out, but I browsed the pregnancy forums and found a few girls who have had the same thing. Some have had their scan and are still pregnant and others are waiting like me.

All close family members know and are excited. Hubby loves his new job :) he's home by 5pm every day, which I love!

Hoping you get your BFP, jjbubbles! Not trying is so refreshing. How's hubby's wrist? Any updates on your brother?

I don't think we'll be celebrating Father's Day this year, we're too freaked out, haha. I even stopped running and switch to a stationary bike, which I never thought I would do.

Yeah, on the first trimester forum there are a number of stories about people having spotting/bleeding and everything being okay. I think if your start cramping as well, it might be cause for concern, but just bleeding seems fairly common.

I know what you mean about not wanting to jinx anything! I was so hesitant to buy anything maternity related until I knew everything was okay (still not buying any baby stuff) just because I felt like I would be asking for trouble if I did.

Just do what feels right for you. I've continued to run and work out (mainly barre and pilates) throughout the first trimester, as long as I had the energy for it. You just can't go as hard or get as sweaty as normal. They say there's no indication that exercise or sex increases the chances of mc, but of course I understand being extra cautious. Also try to enjoy it! The first trimester feels like it drags at first but it has flown by these past few weeks!

Yeah, I switched to biking/slow jogging because I had some discomfort and was just too nervous about it. I know my fears are irrational, but i usually kill myself running and am not good about listening to my body. I figure my knees could use a break anyways. I ran 400 miles jan-may and while I was looking forward to hitting 1000mi by 2015, that will just have to be 2015's goal :)

A little more spotting today, but not as nervous about it since I'm not soaking my panty liner. It's just when I wipe, and usually gone after 1 wipe, sometimes 2. I just can't wait until my first US. LOL, I remember you being so nervous and I didn't understand it, because I've never experienced it, but I get it now. Haha. So, miss thang, when is your due date? Did you want to jump over to the first tri boards and start our own thread?

Hahha, the US wait is bruuuutal. When you're a little further along (like 7 or 8 weeks) you may want to consider renting a buying a doppler. Hearing that super fast heartbeat is so reassuring. But I wouldn't get it too early because you'll torture yourself trying to find it and getting worried when you don't. I think I first found it at 8w6d.

I'm due Dec 15th! We can start something in the pregnancy buddies forum, the first tri board gets a little overwhelming honestly. I've even started sneaking into the second tri board sometimes...crazy!
