LOL But I'm prob not best person to ask as I didn;t get one until week before I had my lil girl. hehe. Obvs it's nice if your in same area too but I rhink grnrtally it's just a text system to keep the rest of us informed shld something happen!

Morning Ladies!

Woke up feeling really sick and with a headache today...don't know if it has something to do with some pratt in his Range Rover outside our house at 5am bipping his horn and giving it a 5 second blast tho???!!!!
I know it's really icy out there but surely he could have got out and knocked at whoevers door it was he picking up from!!!! It's bad enough that this little one doesn't know how to lie still at night without someone doing that as well!!!!
God do I sound like a grumpy old woman now???!!!!

Well moan over! Aside from that how is everyone today??

Morning ladies. Hope you all had a good weekend? I'm good. Happy to be reaching 29 weeks but so looking forward to getting into the 30's!! Has anyone packed their labour bag yet? I haven't bought anything for it yet. Still got a few bits and pieces left to buy for baby too. xx

I got some good news today. After leavin a tearful message in the physio voicemail at the weekend saying I really can't wait until 25th Feb for my appointment, I got a call back saying I can be seen on Wednesday morning! Though my happiness was short lived when I checked my account and discovered I haven't got a bonus. Where these big banker bonuses are going I have no idea because they don't come to us who do the backround staff!

Got my 28 week mw appointment tomorrow and am a bit nervous. I measured my own fundal height last night and it's 35cm!

I have been badgered to pack my bag by OH, is he convinced that this LO will be early as he is CONSTANTLY moving about!!!!
I am not sure myself, I don't think he will hang around to 40, but I think that it is a bit tooooo early to have it ready now really! Oh well anything to keep him from worrying!!!! Mind you IF he did arrive too early none of the clothes would fit as only got NB size. Plus combi pram inc carseat don't arrive till first week of March!!

35cm????? Are you sure??????? I see my consultant on Thursday(28 weeks friday) and having my bloods taken on monday. What happens at 28 week appointment? I see my midwife next on 23rd Feb so will be almost 31 weeks!

HECK this is starting to speed up now!!!!!

But I've got a feeling I'll go into panic mode when I hit 30 weeks next week. I've been feeling quite safe in the 20's. lol My carseat, pram and crib isn't being delivered till April 9th! I dunno what possessed me to tell mothercare to wait till then. I think I'll change to March in case I decide I don't like it, or something is wrong with it.

Ditto....at a 30th yesterday and two others there were way further on than me and I looked massive!!!!!
Lokked at a house on friday and the girl selling had 4 weeks to go and again I looked soooo much bigger!!!!!!

ooooo.. I'm curious. How do you measure your own fundal height? My mw measured me last week and I was measuring 30cms at 28 weeks.

I probably would have left getting mine until later but OH said no!!!!
Is this your first?? This is my second....although she is almost 13 now!!!!! So really it's like first time around again!!!!

WOW.....but do know what you mean about being harder as you get older........I AM 43!!!!!!!

wow! well done you! My sis in law has just had her first at the age of 40. She's loving it.
How's your daughter coping with it all? I've found my 14 year old has suddenly become quite protective over me. It's kinda sweet. She's changed and is offering to help around the house etc. It's really nice, she was quite a moody terror before. lol

Thanks....wasn't easy.....had several losses....referred to consultant and put on Asprin....got pos test and scan at 7 weeks showed heartbeat...scan at 10 weeks showed prob!! My blood was clotting and not getting to baby. So been on Clexane jabs to thin my blood ever since... not pleasant but obviously done the trick for us!!
Getting pregnant was easy it was keeping it that was the prob! This is it now so We are on last chance!!!

My daughter was horrified when first told...We had ruined her life etc!!
Her father was killed in an accident when we lived in Spain 3 years ago you see! My fella has two boys of 12 and 8!
She got used to it and decided it was a girl!!! OOOOOOPPPPPPS!!!! Tantrum number 2!!! She was mortified when discovered it's a boy!!!! Mind you I did have a feeling it was!!
Now TOTALLY different....she has chosen the name and is starting to get excited about meeting him now!! He was kicking her hand this weekend and she thought it was fab!!!!!

Sounds like you've really been thro the mill! But congrats on getting so far. It's nice that your daughter is coming round to the idea now. My daughters were watching my tummy jumping about yesterday and were in absolute awe! I'm so glad they get to experience this exciting time. It's kinda sad to think that I'll never have another baby again after this one..... but I really feel like I've done my bit now and I'm lookin forward to raising my family and getting a career of some sort in the future!
By the way......... impressive bump you got there in your pic ....... wow!!!!!!!

I just measured from my pelvis bone then to where I can feel the top of my uterus. If you feel the top of your bump, then a little way down you should be able to feel your uterus. Obviously my mw will measure it properly tomorrow, I am not sure if I am doing it right, apparently different mws can measure you differently!

This is my first and we're undecided about another. Partly I would love another but partly I have disliked pregnancy so much I don't know if I could do I again. I am sure I will change my mind once he arrives though!

See what I mean about thinking he's gonna be early??!!! I don't think I can stretch anymore!!! He is constantly pushing out ALL day long the only respite I get is when I lie down to sleep(even then he's kicking),when I go swimming or I have a bath!!!
I am just so looking forward to being a mum again!!!! I cannot wait!!!
