***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

31 weeks today. :happydance: Wow time is flying by now! :) Got all we need now for baby. Just gotta buy for a pack labour bag.

Happy 31 weeks Saffy - me too!!
Honestly, the next few weeks just cannot go fast enough for me. We are still totally unprepared, but I am so over this pregnancy.
Is it just me, or is it more than a little weird, having no control over your belly? I was sitting up in bed last night and my belly did this massive leap - the duvet actually jumped! It's like something out of the movie Alien. :haha:
I do find it pretty freaky (although at the same time comforting, IYKWIM).

I'm officially working from home 3 days a week now. :happydance: Makes it so much easier on me. I don't remember the last time I had a decent night's sleep and have been an absolute wreck by the time I get to work the last few weeks (or months!). It's nice just getting out of bed and going to turn my laptop on. :)

How's everyone else doing? Who do we think will be first? My money's on mommyof3girls getting to meet her wee Kinleigh first...

Hello girls...all ok today?

I had a bit of and eventful week last week......Blood Pressure spike at 158/118 freaked me out a bit and made dash to doc's....it had all settled back down again (but my consultant wanted me to be monitored weekly) and there was no protein.I had been suffering with a nasty headcold which may have had a bit to do with it too. Relaxed over the weekend and kept a check on it, still not down to normal but if my base rate stays below mid 90's doc says thats fine!

Well had my BP checked monday and nurse measured at low 90's so was happy she has given me dip sticks to check for protein now too just to put my mind at rest!! See my midwife next tuesday so see what she has to say.

Spent an hour in the bath yesterday trying to relieve awful rib and backache. OH is worried that I am going to go into labour much sooner than anticipated bless him!!! We are ready just in case but this one needs cooking for a while longer yet!!!!

Sat in bed now getting tightenings in my tummy(daren't tell OH about that he'd have a heart attack:haha:) and LO wriggling all over!!!!
Had to take out my belly bar last night :wacko:it was starting to look a bit sore even tho it is a flexi pregnancy one!

So thats about it really except bored silly trying to find things to do....half term and DD doesn't seem to want to do much either!! See if I can persude her to come swimming or shopping for babystuff!!

Catch u all soon.

Wow, that sounds like a pretty eventful week alright! Glad to hear it all worked out in the end! Take it easy on yourself missus, no time like now to be pampered and get lots of rest. :)

We haven't gotten jack yet for baby, either, so you're not alone there. I did receive a couple small boxes of baby clothes from a relative, but that's literally it so far, lol...luckily we are getting some big items from sister-in-law, so we're not too worried about those expenses (cot, stroller, and more clothes). But we will need to buy a bassinet/Moses basket, and a carseat soon enough..oh, and diapers of course!

My Dd was changed @ 13 week scan to April 29th - the pink bit is right tho ( I hope lol )

Welcome to the group Surprise no5! Are your boys excited about the new wee one?

Would love to join you all, if that's ok? Little P due on 10th April.........

I certainly hope I'm not first! I need all the time I can get to prepare..although I may feel different after 37 weeks!

I feel the same, Freyasmum, about movement. I was in the shower earlier and littlebug seemed to be doing the Saturday Night Fever dance and it felt so odd that my tummy was moving about of its own accord. Although reassuring like you say.

I've been off work last two days - totally overwhelmed, stressed and just can't face it with the sickness still. I'd quite like to leave now but want as much time with bug once s/he's born as possible.

Welcome in Laughing Girl! How organised are you feeling?

Ah mrsraggle I hope you feel better soon. You too jacci

MW appointment tomorrow to get my results from my blood tests. I assume everything is ok with my iron levels or they would have contacted me. Also still not had my results from my GTT which was 5 weeks ago!!! Grrr hospitals are rubbish. Therefore presuming still all must be ok and now just hoping they haven't lost my results and actually I do have it, as it's getting a bit late now and I am tucking into my pancakes tonight!!

Flump has gone all quiet on me today. Just a few nudges. Hope is all ok inside and s/he perks up later

It took my MW ages to get through to the people that had my GTT results and there was talk of me having to do it again because they'd lost them. Might be worth a call chele?

Enjoy your pancakes! x

Hehe, how long's a piece of string?!
I think I have everything that I need, which isn't much. Except a wee bed to join onto the side of ours so that we have a mega-huge family bed for us all to sleep in. Just been to Superdrug to buy cotton wool pads (boring), breast pads (ugh, just can't bring myself to contemplate how wearing pads in my bra AND my knickers at the same time is going to be) and have almost finished redecorating our kitchen and snug so we've all got somewhere cosy to hang out when we're not in our bed!!
Sling is sorted, clothes are sorted, pram is sorted, car seat sorted, ooh, I need sheets and cosy blankets and also a sheepskin for little P to lie on. Think that's all!!

How about you?

Congrats on making it too 31 weeks, not too much longer now? :) You might actually be right about me being the first. I got my induce date and it is March 25th. So that is the day to beat. However I think Kerrie-x might beat me.
