***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

March 25th, huh? That's not long away at all!!
Ooh, just realised it's also the day before I finish up at work which means THAT's not long away either!! :happydance:

I was actually thinking of working another week - now that I'm working from home it'd be much easier to - and tagging an extra week onto the other end (surely it'd be better to have an extra week with Stinky). Might talk to my manager a bit closer to the time though, see how I'm doing. Hopefully I'll get an approximate section date soon. Seeing mw on Friday so I'll ask her about it then. I'm not sure if they give you an exact date here or not.

So I had my dr appointment today and I got my induce date. I'll be induced March 25th. Only 37 days away. can you say I'm freaking out. :)

Oh wow 37 days..that is not long at all!! How exciting though!

My dr is going on vacation 3 days after the 25th so it helped out a lot. I was kind of scared that I would deliver while he was out of town just like in the movie Knocked Up.

Hello girls...all ok today?

I had a bit of and eventful week last week......Blood Pressure spike at 158/118 freaked me out a bit and made dash to doc's....it had all settled back down again (but my consultant wanted me to be monitored weekly) and there was no protein.I had been suffering with a nasty headcold which may have had a bit to do with it too. Relaxed over the weekend and kept a check on it, still not down to normal but if my base rate stays below mid 90's doc says thats fine!

Well had my BP checked monday and nurse measured at low 90's so was happy she has given me dip sticks to check for protein now too just to put my mind at rest!! See my midwife next tuesday so see what she has to say.

Spent an hour in the bath yesterday trying to relieve awful rib and backache. OH is worried that I am going to go into labour much sooner than anticipated bless him!!! We are ready just in case but this one needs cooking for a while longer yet!!!!

Sat in bed now getting tightenings in my tummy(daren't tell OH about that he'd have a heart attack:haha:) and LO wriggling all over!!!!
Had to take out my belly bar last night :wacko:it was starting to look a bit sore even tho it is a flexi pregnancy one!

So thats about it really except bored silly trying to find things to do....half term and DD doesn't seem to want to do much either!! See if I can persude her to come swimming or shopping for babystuff!!

Catch u all soon.

Jacci.xxx:hugs:

I hope your BP stays down and the LO can cook a little longer.

Hey thanks....it is staying at a reasonable level at the mo!!! See what consultant says on 4th March! Going to a wedding the day after too!!!

But what about u???? 25th march!!!!!! YIKES....that is no time away at all girl!!!!

37 days. Eeeeeeeeeek!! That's gonna come round real soon.

MW appointment for me today and dreading it. I really feel my BP has gone up. Ooops forgot to do my pee pot, best remember before I go

Ooo that reminds me I need to get another pee pot for my appointment next week otherwise I may get glared at like last time (god forbid silly locum midwife again). Will get it tomorrow when I see the asthma clinic nurse, if I remember by then lol, really have a brain like a sieve (moreso than normal)

i always forget and am always having to pop in and get one. I can't pee on demand as it goes bloody everywhere!!! I much prefer to do it at home. How on earth are you meant to aim in that little pot otherwise. I use a cup at home

The times I forgot before (nearer the beginning and during last pg) the receptionist gave me a plastic cup to do it into which is much better, last appointment was just a nightmare anyway, no pee, no reminder form receptionist (like usual) and to top it my maternity notes went walkies in the house, so the locum mw was not best pleased with me *blows raspberry at her* If it had been my usual mw we would just have started a new set up like I did when I saw her in passing a week or so later *hugs her mw*

I still find it odd that maternity notes aren't computerised. What happens if they go awol and are never found. Also do you need to take them to hospital when you go into labour?

Good luck with your bp today Chele.

I've got a growth scan and consultant appt on Friday. My bp has been ok recently, it was 120/76 last week with mw!! Sods law when I go to hosp it ALWAYS goes up! hoping and praying it doesnt this time, i really dont fancy another stint on MAU
:(

Yeah I think you have to take them with you. I've seen it in posts about what to pack in hospital bag etc

Thanks Lisa, will let you all know what happens. Good luck for friday

Yeppers need to have them taken in with you. Some of it is computerised but I think alot of the data is in different parts of the system to look it up would take longer than just flicking a few pages.

They like to have a constant record of you BP and urine sample results, for me the problem was they needed my results from my blood tests at booking because of being a neg blood group and some wont give the injection if they do not have evidence on paper. But must say the mw that jabbed me at hospital just did a little bit of a hunt on the system and pulled up my blood group

So if I lost my notes I'd be in the poop then really. oH well will make sure they go nowhere

Depends on your mw etc on trouble hehe. My normal one was like "oh well, lets get you another book bit and when you see me next we will redo it" She is a lovely woman, almost wish she could deliver this current little bun in the oven but I doubt that it will be the case as she is a community mw

yeah mine is community too but someone else just had a baby at my hospital and told me they were excellent there so only heard good things so far.

Had two hospital births, and they were great in my area, hoping to go to the birthing centre attached to the hospital this time around

we dont have a birthing centre which I find quite weird seeing as we're one of the largest cities in the country. I wish I had more options to be honest, but am considering home birth for my second if all goes ok with this one

I was told by the delivering midwife with my lil girl to seriously consider a homebirth if I went on to have anymore. Had quite an easy time of the birth once it was all under way properly, but it had to be in the hospital as my son had been an undiagnosed breech birth and early so they wanted to be safer, even though his birth was surprisingly smooth.

So this time going for the in between option as it is available to me, the centre is attached to the hospital so if needed medical intervention can occur quickly. But I am forseeing a hopefully uneventful time again
