***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

Totally off topic but has anyone else noticed that their tummy rumbles more and a lot louder since being pregnant?

yeppers got a pessary and cream (though no actual symptoms), so my poor put upon OH will have the job of sorting that out as I cant really reach down there let alone see what I am doing properly, like the swab I had to do for the test hehehe

Not sure about the hearing it louder but certainly more often feeling it, and I must say most times I head its call too :haha:

ahhhh Kat i thought so... thats the word as well PESSARY!!!

It does my head in rumbling all of the time!!!

Back pain....

Could try a few diff things if able.....getting OH to gently rub the area to relax you. A warm but not too hot, hot water bottle, a warm bath, if needed some pain killers...sure there are more things too but those are just off the top of my head

70% of the time mine are like that. Been having them since Friday!! But the other 30% are the same but quite painful... Is this your first baby? Loads of people have told me BH's hurt more after your first baby :(

Thanks, that set my mind at ease! :D

Yeah, it is my first baby... I had a few today that were a bit sore, but just sort of niggly pain if you know what I mean, like not even as bad as my period pains are.

My hubby is a complete worry wart, and he's freaked out about the BH and thinks that means the baby is about ready to appear :haha: Ummm... Nope. I doubt it.

OK i'm rubbish with names so just gonna answer the things that came to mind as I read:

The thrush go easy with the adapter I gave myself a sweep with it just before I had Olivia. You'll know if you do/did cos it hurts!

The painless braxton hicks, yes they are not often painful in first pregnancy's but second third etc subseqently get more painful like after pains! But they defo sound like braxton's hun!

My braxton's have stopped being painful for the moment and just very very tight if I walk anywhere clearly my body not used to walking cos of spd! I've lost so much stamina through the bloody thing! But they sometimes tighten up so much it's hard to breathe.

So Good news girlies I got my induction! Thanks Goodness! It'll be around 38 weeks so around the 12 ish! so about four weeks until arrival! HOoray! there is lght atthe end of the tunnel!

That's brilliant news Shinning Star :D You must be so pleased! I hope those 4 weeks fly in for you

Yeah am sooo relieved tbh.I was terrified they wouldn't take me seriously and I'd have to scream and shout my case, but I walked in on crutches the consultant said "hows the pain"I said awful, he said "right scan in two weeks induction abt 38 weeks" That was it!

He had a student in with him who listened for the heartbeat and felt around tummy, she did try to do the fh but the consultant said she needn't worry cos of growth scan in two weeks, but she tried anyway, however even i could tell she got it wrong and wasn't very confident!

That was that I waited longer to have my preliminary blood pressure check and urine check tha i did to see the consultant and get his decision.

I have managed to worry DH yet again with a hugely painful BH! Mostly my bump just goes really tight but the painful ones are really painful!

Backache I lean into my birthing ball and get DH to give me a back rub with the palms of his hands, not fingers. Or use my heated bean bag.

Oh and Shining_Star as I said on the SPD thread I am so pleased for you!

My painful braxton's seem to have calmed down an awful lot, so whether bubs has changed position or not who nows, still not engaged in anyway, but lady today said was still head down. who knows.
As I mentioned not getting painful ones now which is good, just mega tight ones that constraint my lungs, lol not sure which is better.

god 6 april babys already . aww its getting so close now we will all have are little darlings soon hehe

Ack another April baby born?! Congrats 2nd Heartbeat! More and more babies being born, it's so exciting!

I don't think I've had any BH's either or at least nothing that feels what I've read!

Shinning_Star I'm so glad you ended up getting the induction date that you wanted to get! Makes the pain a little more bearable!

Tomorrow I'll be 35 weeks and 35 days to go! It's so exciting to think but also makes me super nervous.

I got bored tonight and Updated the first page. The births are now in the 2nd post.

I even updated Team pink, blue, & yellow.

Shining Star :wohoo: hope it all goes really quick now :D

Mommyof3girls, i get bored ALL of the time :( haha

I'm totally getting more nervous too as the deadline approaches....but in an excited way for the most part. I've decided not to think too much on the labor as one can never predict those things anyway, lol...but I do keep thinking I should be doing those Kegel exercises but damn it, I keep forgetting! Thinking about getting a gym ball too but I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do with it, haha..

Yep boredom striked again! I'm in pain today but am sooo bored thinking about going round to tesco myself but probably not a good idea! I know it's nly four ish weeks, but I;m wondering how on earth I'm gonna fill in the time inetween appointments.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeek I might have a March baby!! I saw my consultant today and once again I have 2+ protein and high BP, so another round of 24 hour urine collection for me today and then back to clinic next Thursday to contemplate inducing me.............!!! Actually, I don't mind as I am desperate not to go over my due date, although being induced won't be fun.

Sorry to hear the threat of pre-eclampsia is looming, hope bp doesn't stay up and complicate things, but am glad your happy with being induced! I don't think it's as bad as they say!

Bubs will be here soon then!
